Buffy Speak

this is one for the books, folks. in our longest episode yet, we FINALLY admit to ourselves that...... yes. we like angel. and we like buffy and angel. we've been in too much denial for too long, and it's time to own our truth. it feels good, y'all. feels good.

okay, so we've more or less given up on the idea that the police or FBI or INTERPOL or WHOEVER will come to sunnydale. but surely the IRS would be all up in the mayor's business for using government funds to buy faith an apartment?? like we're not crazy for thinking this, right? or is sunnydale a completely lawless wasteland where government entities never deign to go?? we have so many questions. also this episode is good but mostly the IRS thing.

forget the murder – the REAL tragedy of this episode is willow's characterization. OUR GIRL DESERVES BETTER.

bad girls bad girls, whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when they MURDER SOMEBODY ON PATROL?

who knew that focusing on xander would make for the best episode we've seen all season?? even owen wilson is surprised.

♫ HELPLEEEEESSSS look at kralik's weirdly expensive creepy polaroid room and the sky's the limit ♫happy one year, buffy speak! beth is wrong pretty often in this episode but almost always corrects herself within minutes. we take way too long to come up with the phrase "small potatoes." lots of fun for everyone in this episode, folks.

happy 20th, buffy! to celebrate, we got halfway through season 3. beth doesn't know how words work, and caroline hates this episode until literally 10 minutes before the end. it's a good time.

if angel lost his soul after he had sex, what happens when oz has sex? why does pre-souled angel have a mustache? IS HE A RIGHTEOUS MAN?! these questions and more answered on this episode of this, the greatest podcast of all time

buffy & co. enter WORLD 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO and we get to meet anya!! hooray! also larry/oz is definitely a thing, right?

IT'S OUR BOI SPIKE!! also, we come to the grisly end of willow/xander and get some SAT realness (ACT if you're from alabama apparently). also SPIKE!!!!!!!!!
