You are not your mind or your body. You are a combination of Body, Mind and Spirit. Your spirit is your higher self that holds wisdom. Your higher self wants to communicate with you. The more you can connect to your higher self the more you will be living in truth and love and joy.

Today as I traveled slowly down the highway because I was riding on a spare, I thought of you.

I thought of the challenge of slowing down life because of tragedy when it looks like everyone around you is speeding up and passing you by and how uncomfortable it is.

I thought of the people that get behind you and urging you to move faster or get over it and how terrible that feels.

I thought about the times when you’ve felt like you stand out because you are hurting and have had to change your pace.

As I drove down the highway slowly, I wanted to put a sign up that said “I’m driving on a spare tire.”

Like you, in a million ways and tougher situations, want to say, “be gentle, I’m hurting.”

I’ve got you. I get it. And I’m telling you it’s ok to be in the slow lane limping along on a spare tire.

In today’s episode, I share the practice of reflective journaling, why it’s so important, what you will gain from it and the amazing experience I’ve had with it.

Relationships can feel so hard when you’re grieving. You’re grateful for the people in your life. You’re grateful to not be totally alone but there’s a disconnect. You don’t know why you feel so angry or frustrated or disappointed with people and why you’re taking it out on your family or co-workers.

Your grief affects how you show up. It affects how you feel about yourself and how you feel about your relationships. Grief makes you feel like nothing is right in the world. Like nothing is right in your world. This way of looking at things is natural but it’s also very painful.  Today we’re going to talk about why your relationships either feel so good or so hard. Jean was stuck. She was dealing with grief and she didn’t know how to move forward through it.
