BuildBetter - interviews with tech founders

Today I talk about two projects minting within 36 hours window and they both come from fairly known and respected artists in their fields.

The first one is the anime-inspired Killer Girlfriends squad from former Riot Games Artist, Zeronis. It will be 7.777 generative portraits made out of 240 traits. It looks pretty cool and anime-related projects have been very successful recently, so if you like this style, you might want to check it out. Minting starts in about 16 hours.

The second project I wanna talk about has just amazingly funny art (at least to me). It's called Homies in Dreamland. It's a collection of 10,420 NFTs designed by artist Jermaine Rogers, inspired by the legendary duo Cheech and Chong. I mean if you've known Cheech and Chong before, I'm sure you know what you are in for. It was new for me but I love it! Homies in Dreamland are minting in about 31 hours.

Today I'm going to shine a light on two real-life (IRL) brands entry projects into NFT space. These brands are Australian Open and Playboy. Both have entered recently, have floor prices oscillating around 0.11-0.15 EHT and they present interesting long-term play for anyone who's the fan. These NFTs and their benefits will certainly evolve as both brands will progress in their understanding of possibilities of NFT space and connection between Metaverse(s) and real-life experiences.

The first one I'm gonna talk about is Playboy Rabittars.

Each Rabbitar acts as the key that unlocks membership to all the possibilities of Playboy on the blockchain: exclusive access to Playboy art and artist collaborations, IRL and metaverse experiences, and physical and virtual fashion. They also say: "And yes, you can tell your friends you officially belong to a Playboy Club!", which might sound cool for some.

For the second one I'm even more excited. It's AO Art Ball by Australien Open. You all know Australian Open. It was making headlines recently.

There are 6,776 generative AO Art Ball NFTs, each linked to an individual plot on the official Australian Open court which is simply very cool, because you're collecting real-life moments as players hit "your" spot on the court. So they are trying to use real match data for every match of the Australian Open and match and assign winning points to relevant AO Art Ball NFTs by updating traits and metadata. Very cool and I'm sure there will be more cool stuff coming.

Today I'm putting the spotlight on two European projects which caught my eye. Both because of the art. One is hot and the second one is a disappointing story of abandon, but you may still like the art.

The first project I wanna mention is the Rebels by House of Kalinkin. Amazing art, great fashion and big IRL (in real life) and metaverse fashion brand plans. Fully transparent team and the head designer Robert coming from Lituania. I think we need more European projects like this. I'm mentioning them mainly because they recently sold out and as it sometimes happens floor is relatively low at 0.064 ETH so it is a good time to jump in before more announcements come in. Also unlike many other projects, with Rebels, it does not matter how many you own, only one gives you access to all future benefits for holders. So check them out...

The second project I wanna mention is the one I'd call a disappointment. It's a project which has very cool abstract art (love their art!) but the team abandoned the project along the way so it never fully minted, it never sold out and it never will because the contract is stopped. It's hard to figure this out unless you join their discord so I'm mentioning it as a warning.
The good news is that if you like their art and you don't want any extra utility out of the project, than current floor at 0.014 ETH might be a great opportunity to get interestingly NFT and from which you can make a cool printouts.

Today I’m talking about two projects for storytellers and people interesting in storytelling and content production. Society of Hourglass - is still minting its chapter 1 characters and it might be a good time to get in because you can buy on secondary already minted ones if you have a preference or you can take your chance and mint from the remining few - and a hot secret is that there are several unique characters which were not minted yet so your chances grow every mint.Rug Radio - which just finished it’s mint and sold out but the floor is slowly dropping so it might be a good time to get in if you’re interested in becoming part of content production revolution. Not only all the NFTs look like rugs but Rug radio is a project of @farokh and that guys turns everything he touches into gold. So I expect big things from Rug Radio team and community.As always both are doxxed teams which means you are safe from rug pulls but you are not guaranteed to profit.

In this first episode today I bring your attention to two cool projects: the first one is from an artist Zevi - his 456 Collectors Club https://www.456collectorsclub.com/456club which is focused on art lovers who’d like to receive a physical sculpture and prints. It’s a bit more expensive mint 0.321 ETH but if you like Zevi’s art, definitely worth considering. The second project I shine spotlight on is Mystic Sisterhood which started minting on January 17th https://www.mysticsisterhood.io and is one of more affordably priced female led projects with 0.05 ETH on mint. Female-led projects are rising these days and are receiving a lot of hype. That’s it for today.
