When people think about building a balanced support system with their spouse when they've been married for years without one, you can imagine they're not all fired up about the idea of digging in.
It does sound a bit exhausting.
But what's your alternative?
Continuing on the way things are?
How about divvying up all of your things and moving on? Our brains will tell us this would be much easier, and maybe that is the answer you choose, but trust me, having been through divorce and having coached many others through the process, it's not any easier than doing the work of cleaning up what you've already got.
