An extended interview with Glen Easy discussing his experience and his journey after his daughter, Chanel died suddenly in her sleep aged just 16yrs old. Glen shares his fond memories of a beloved daughter and the events that led up to this tragedy.
He talks about how this event challenged his Christian faith, the questions he wrestled with and how in the darkest times of despair he battled thoughts of suicide.
It was a simple book given to him by a well-wisher that ultimately acted as the catalyst that helped Glen to begin to turn his life back around and move out from the shadows of self-pity that had almost consumed him.
Today Glen is able to live with a refreshed purpose, spurred on by the memory of Chanel and the charity work he does with the British Heart Foundation.
We are hopeful that Glen's story will go some way to helping/encouraging someone out there who may be dealing with a similar issue or feeling hopeless.
May his story act as proof that life can still be fruitful after the death of a loved one, by the grace of God and the love and support of family and friends.
