Mara Schenker, MD, is an orthopedic trauma surgeon and chief of orthopedics at Grady Memorial Hospital and professor of orthopedics at Emory University School of Medicine. She is also the associate chief medical information officer for Grady, board certified in clinical informatics and has extensive EHR build and analytics certifications. Schenker is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, AAMC, American College of Surgeons and the Orthopaedic Trauma Association. As the 2001 World Champion in Taekwondo, she has a particular interest in the intersection between sports and surgery, as it relates to human performance optimization. Her clinical practice is based at Grady Memorial Hospital.
