Our minds have evolved to seek out negativity and threat as a pretty effective defense mechanism to keep us safe and propagating as a species. But, what that also means is that we're walking around with a naturally biased, unbalanced mindset. Because our minds are naturally poised to look for AND FIND negativity and threat, we see reality as more negative than it actually is. The antidote for this is to intentionally look for the positive. Not with the goal of distorting reality, but with the goal of SEEING reality.

As someone who is passionate about the field of Life Design, I am over the moon about this week’s episode. This week, we’re speaking with Dr. Gail Golden, author of the book “Curating Your Life: Ending the Struggle for Work-Life Balance.”
This book is all about carefully selecting the activities, responsibilities, and commitments we say ‘yes’ to in our lives, based on what is meaningful to us. Gail goes deep into topics like finding out what’s important to you. Saying ‘no’ to the things that aren’t...even when it’s hard. Embracing mediocrity in some things so that you can live your greatness in others.
In short, this episode is a masterclass in Life Design, and you won’t want to miss it.

Sometimes we can get very stuck in a rut when we've been doing something for a while. Maybe it's a job you've had for a long time, or it's parenting, or your romantic relationship. We can develop habits and routines in the way we approach these activities...and it can begin to feel stagnant.
When you experience challenge, adversity, or a setback, how do you respond? In this 3-part series, we’re diving into something called The Drama Triangle to explore ways to take a more active, helpful, effective stance in our businesses and in our lives when things get tough.
This week is Part 1 where we’re diving into what it means to take on the role of The Victim, and what you can do instead.

Raise your hand if you HATE meditation. All of the idle sitting. The constant intrusive thoughts. The wonder whether what you’re doing is ACTUALLY making a difference. Not everyone loves it at first...but the data show how impactful it can be.
If you’ve ever tried to meditate and given up because you just HATE it, this is the episode for you. This week, we’re diving into meditation to talk about this powerful practice and how you can get started and maybe not hate it so much this time.
Last week, on Mindset Minute Monday, I talked about approaching your life like a museum curator and intentionally deciding what belongs in your life and what doesn't. This week, I'm giving you permission to cancel something. To quit. You are not required to continue doing things that don't fit into your curation of your life.
