 But a servant leader knows that when they share the power with their employees, learn to be empathetic and share successes with employees, they in turn gain more power in the end and become an even better leader.

  In doing so, the leader succeeds when their employees do. In a business team, servant leadership can not only help employees achieve and grow, but it can also benefit their leaders and the company as a whole.

SEGMENT TWO – Personal Application

Everyone needs to put their leadership skills into place in their own ways.

 It is up to you to decide what type of leader you want to be and how to get there.

Each person has their own journey. In this journey, one will face highs and lows.

What makes you, you is how you handle these. 

Diversity is all around us. People come from all different walks of life, and have different opinions. We all learn differently and act differently. Each of us leads ourselves and others in our ways. What is our biggest responsibility with diversity is being respectful of others. Never put down someone else for being different. Uniqueness is what makes the world go round. 

Benefits of diversity:

• Increased adaptability
• Variety of viewpoints
• Promotes humanistic values

Self – Leadership III

SEGMENT 1 – Individuality

 Do you realize how important it is to be yourself?

 You are unique, and there is not anyone out there exactly like you.

 You are as unique as your fingerprints.

 Be proud of who you are, and do what makes you happy.

 You do not have to please anyone but yourself, so be true to yourself.

What some people may think is odd, others will think is amazing.

Focus on you, and be you, not someone else.           

 If you are not aware, you are nowhere!

 Last week, I talked a bit about my life story – I didn’t know who I was, where I was until my teacher, Miss Chantal, initiated me to the world of reading. Through books, I discovered my worth, my ambitions, my vision for the long term, but also my weaknesses, my lack of skills, knowledge, and so many other things. I wanted to grow but I could not figure out HOW, how to do it because a lot of pieces of the puzzle were missing…But one thing I understood – I could FOCUS on what my teachers were teaching me, and LEARN them, study them as if my entire life depended on them…and it did! That’s SELF-LEADERSHIP, and I learned that it was this years AFTER I started the process! That’s also a BIG REWARD for having turned my curse into a blessing (despite being unconscious of the fact while starting the process)
