Wendy, AKA the oil lady has been a friend that we have wanted to get on the podcast for a while now. She is extremely knowledgeable in the lubricants industry specifically in the construction and mining markets.

In this episode, we dive into what she does at her current company, how she got into the industry and the current market. There are a lot of moving pieces to the oil and lubricant industry and it is one of the most important things to most construction companies that run machinery.

On this mini episode we dive into the updates that we are ending the year with.

Updates:

1. We purchased 22 acres in Southern Oklahoma to begin our work on a new training facility for operators, OSHA training, general safety and leadership training.
2. We have a new hire, Caleb Tynes - Graphic Designer.
3. We are beginning preplanning stage of a documentary called Made in America. This will be a documentary, vlog, and cinematic take on all the blue collar trades in America that make our country operate. Shipping, oil and gas, mining, construction, etc.
4. We are launching our new website coming end of December 2021.
5. New partnerships signed and ready for the new year.

Today there is a massive gap between the veterans of the industry and the young guys who will grow into that role. We aren't teaching the young guys as much as we need in general. 

There are companies however like JMK Developers who have made it their main goal to use young guys to produce amazing results. These young guys do not know everything and that's the point. How could they if they didn't have the opportunity to learn. 

We sit down with the young guys in JMK to talk about their experience and how their dad has changed the way they do business to influence young guys into becoming the best versions of themselves. 

We hope to inspire the older guys and gals in the industry to be a part of the mentoring that is greatly needed in this industry.

What's up yall!?

Today on our mini episode 002, we talk about onboarding and training.

Are you giving your people the right tools they need to make them an asset to the company or do you slack off when hiring people?

How long are you taking with each person?
How many tools and resources are you giving them immediately?
Are you spending the right amount of time with them to be able to perform their job correctly?
Etc.

If your team or company is having retainage issues or issues with teams not being consistent in the same methods, this may be the root to the issue and maybe needs some more detailed planning.

In this episode, I talk just a few points on how you can look at what your current process is and maybe we help strike some ideas into your brain about new ways of lookin at it.
