Josh sits down with Buffalo Jackson Trading Co. founder Xan Hood. Buffalo Jackson Trading Co. is a lifestyle brand delivering vintage and outdoors apparel and leather bags and goods. Their mission? Nurturing and cultivating a style that encapsulates man’s yearning to be in nature, while being caged in an urban or suburban setting. This vision of founder Xan Hood’s was originally born while on a men’s retreat, realizing that there was this need and love for all things outdoors, regardless of whether you were fully engaged or not. With that, he also realized the lack of quality and stylish apparel that told this story and supported this instinctual lust for the outdoors and heritage. With Buffalo Jackson gaining so much traction in the last year, it’s no wonder they recently expanded from solely men’s apparel and goods to an exploding women’s line as well. Want to find out more? Josh sits down with Wuru Wool founder Matt Disney. Wuru Wool is a premium merino wool apparel brand that was born while Disney was abroad and happened to stumble upon a merino wool blister prevention project. Really… it was that simple! BUT, the crazy part was how quickly the transition came from finding the hard facts on merino wool superiority, to fabricating a product, and ultimately having enough people hounding him for more and MORE merino apparel (the people know what they want, damn it!). Despite an incredibly simple concept, Matt and his team were able make such a sought after product! Take a seat, tune in, and check out the story behind Wuru Wool.

Josh sits down with Coalition Snow founder Jennifer Gurecki. Coalition Snow is a Ski and Snowboard brand making top quality planks and boards for women. This happens to be Gurecki’s second time on the show and it’s no question that Coalition Snow has been on a serious upswing since we’ve had her on the show. Coalition Snow’s rise upward only gave her more momentum to create her recently launched Sisu Magazine AND a podcast of her own, Juicy Bits, where she captures and unravels women's experiences and captivating thoughts that are sparked on the trail and chairlift. We’re PSYCHED to have her back on the show and to get a chance to catch up with Coalition Snow founder, Jennifer Guereck

Josh sits down with Unit 1 co-founder Juan Garcia Mansilla. Unit 1 makes helmets that have detachable headphones built in, allowing you to listen to music and communicate with your friends on the mountain via their walkie-talkie app. We’ve all been there. You want to ride with the perfect soundtrack but, you’re not thrilled with the song that’s bumping so you have to stop, and shed your snow armor so you can get to your phone/ipod. For Juan Garcia and his co-founders, this wasn’t something you simply ‘deal with’ and after being frustrated and disappointed with some of the solutions on the market they did what everyone says they’re going to do but, no one has the guts to do. Roll up their sleeves, dig deep, and solve a problem that so many other people have experienced. Though they are still a fairly young company we are THRILLED to welcome Unit 1 to the industry and are absolutely enthralled by the story of how they got started. Tune in, you won’t regret it!

Josh sits down with Phoozy co-founder Kevin Conway. Phoozy makes protection for your mobile devices that was designed to withstand just about anything nature can throw at them. Conway and his partner, Josh Inglis started this up so that they could help empower outdoor enthusiasts to use technology to enhance their outdoor experience without having to worry whether or not it’s going to last through extreme cold, keeping it from overheating in the summer, protecting it from impact damage, or even sinking to the bottom of the ocean. “When you’re outside there’s never a good place to put your phone.” Besides being an incredible point, that idea is all Conway needed to get the inspiration to get to work and start building Phoozy and creating one of the best mobile protection options for outdoorsy people.

Josh sits down with Go Sili co-founder Stacey Feeley. Go Sili makes reusable, non-toxic, silicone based products as alternatives to plasticware. They aim to change the way consumers are using various consumer goods specifically in the table top industry. Though this is clearly an incredible win for reducing waste, Feeley and her co-founder Giuliana Schwab originally got their spark of inspiration to start Go Sili to have a non-toxic option for their newborns. This unconventional foray into entrepreneurship has created a movement that is not only helping out the environment, but also making a safer (and a lot of ways more convenient) utensile option that will last you a lifetime.

Josh sits down with FLŌA founder Fergie Miller. FLŌA is an activewear brand that gets its name from the norse word for flow and, it’s something that they try to embody with their base layers. Their designs may look sleek but, are technically driven and function focus, which is no surprise considering founder Fergie Miller, is a long time skier and absolutely dedicated to the sport. Miller, originally got bit by the snow bug after learning to ski while growing up in Japan and continued to travel and join the ski racing world. Jump a few years forward and he has started up a ski camp with a number of locations around the world. You’d think after selling a successfully started global ski camp, he’d be finished and ready to slow down. Nope! This is where FLŌA comes flying in and though they are relatively new they are feverishly ready to dig deep into the outdoor sport industry.

Josh sits down with Green Goo co-founder Jodi Scott. Green goo is a plant-based medicinal body care company. Whether it’s first aid,, skin care, or self-care, Green Goo uses all natural ingredients that are effective and more importantly non-toxic. Jodi and her SisterJen, were both in a medical/health related field. Jen was an herbalist and midwife, Jodi, headed down the pre-med path. Two different approaches to health and medicine, yet they both came to the same conclusion; first aid is extremely complicated and most products out there have many chemicals and different ingredients that aren’t necessarily good for you or the environment. The realization sparked the very beginning of what Green Goo is today and, this, is their journey in starting it.

Josh sits down with TripOutside co-founder Reet Singh. TripOutside is a travel site created for outdoor enthusiasts who want to get outside, but don’t know where to start and make it super easy to book outdoor adventures. As an added bonus, they mindfully focus on excursions that have as little effect on the environment as possible. Having been longtime travel enthusiasts Reet, and his partner Julie, have found themselves being bogged down in the planning process and longed for something easier. It wasn’t long before they found themselves ditching the corporate world to kickstart a rapidly growing travel company!
