Josh sits down with Shwood Eyewear co-founder Phil Peterson. Shwood Eyewear are the makers of the original wooden sunglasses. Peterson first was inspired in creating his first pair of wooden sunglasses after “borrowing” a branch from a neighbors madrone tree. Jelt was originally started out of necessity when Jill-of-all-trades, Jen Perry needed a belt she could where between outdoor activities, her entrepreneurial endeavors, and being a mother. After being seriously hospitalized due to a ruptured appendix, Jen vowed that she would find a way to give back to her community after recovering. It wasn’t long after that she began her philanthropic career path which would eventually lead her on a new path, creating Jelt Belt. Fast forward a decade and Jen is going STRONG with Jelt Belt with no signs of slowing down.
