With summer just a few short months away (if you're in the Northern Hemisphere), why not watch a movie about a group of dirty hippies robbing banks to finance their carefree lifestyle? This week we watched 1991's Point Break and figured that it warranted a discussion. Should you choose to listen, we recommend that you wax up your board, put on a wet suit that's a size too small and go sit in your bathtub. Make sure that your bathtub is full of salt water though, or else what's the point? Once you're settled in, grab yourself an antique fish tank filled with Corona and listen in as we discuss important subjects like burgers at Joe's Crab Shack, the good and bad of surf culture, and Gary Busey's sugar cube diet.

Man, I hope nobody ever runs my face over with a lawnmower while I'm still alive. On a totally unrelated note, we watched 2012's Sinister. You should absolutely look at this film as a cautionary tale that shows what can happen when you trust your children. The second you turn your back on them, they'll tie you to a pool chair and drown you. Until that eventuality, do us a favor and pour a true crime writer's-sized glass of scotch and listen to us as we discuss the movie as well as former Denver Nuggets shooting guard J.R. Smith, A Dog's Purpose, and Clark Griswold's attic.

We hope you enjoyed this most recent Presidents' Day and celebrated in the traditional fashion by taking advantage of carpet store sales and used car specials. Now that it's all over, perhaps you should take some time to reflect on the great men who've helped shaped this county by listening to us talk about arguably the greatest fictional POTUS in history, President James Marshall. We watched 1997's Air Force One and decided to talk about it. Do us a favor and pour a cold, domestic brew into an old oaken bucket and relax as we discuss topics like Elvis Grbac, saving money on collect calls, and Vice President Cruella de Vil.

Well hello there strangers, it has been awhile. Before you ask, the answer is yes, we missed you too. Let's just forget about the long absence and get right into it, shall we? This week we watched 1999's The Haunting. We regretted getting back into podcasting shortly after the credits rolled. This is not a good movie, but it's not without its...charms(?). What we recommend is getting real loose on prescription painkillers, climbing into your bathtub with your clothes on and listening to us discuss Cathy Jones, the many "Wows" of Owen Wilson, and Crayola crayons.
Editor's note: This movie is no longer available to stream on Netflix but it was at the time of recording. Also, Josh is now aware that despite his claim, "The Strangers" is rated R, not PG-13. Please don't forgive him.

Back from our long Summer sabbatical, we decide to tackle the rap-heavy, Anthony Anderson-y, DMX-flavored 2003 film, Cradle 2 the Grave. This one doozy of a film. It's got everything a good movie needs besides good writing, real characters, or decent acting. But Jet Li does use a little person as a weapon, so that's neat. In this episode, we discuss DMX's lengthy criminal record, Gabrielle Union's incomparable good looks, and pornography at the workplace. After taking a week off, we jump right back into the finger-licking nightmare that is the Hellraiser franchise. This week we watched Hellbound: Hellraiser II and at least one of us even liked it. I'd recommend taking most, if not all, of your clothes off and changing into some clothes you bought from Goodwill (but didn't wash yet) before listening to this episode. Once that process is complete, you're ready to listen to us discuss everything from the apparently inconsistent rules of the Puzzlebox to Fred's strategy of splitting up the gang during episodes of Scooby Doo. In honor of this great nation's 240th birthday, we sat down, had a few Freedom Sodas, and watched the 1996 blockbuster, Independence Day. This is a movie that says you can marry a stripper and save the world (in the same day, no less). Independence Day proves that you can live in an RV and be a hero on a global scale while also being this guy. So on this coming Independence Day, throw back a few domestic brews, exercise your Second Amendment rights, and listen to us discuss everything from Frutopia to an aroused Tony Shalhoub. Oh, and remember....someday you might fly a fighter jet alongside the President of the Free World while defending the planet from total annihilation. Probably. We can all agree that you probably shouldn't bang your future husband's brother on your wedding day, but where do we stand on doubling down and murdering people to provide that brother with a new suit of skin? Decide for yourself as you listen to us talk about our Hellraiser viewing experience. This week our talking points cover such topics as VICE News slideshows, Pat Benatar, and switchblade sex scars. This week we really reached for a movie on the top shelf and pulled Predator down to our level. Predator might be the best action movie ever made and the fact that we had the gall to even try to talk about it in a humorous fashion is a sin in the eyes of our Lord and Savior, Governor Jesse "The Body" Ventura. Regardless of sin, you should absolutely cover yourself in mud, drink some malt liquor out of a vine and listen to us discuss topics ranging from Carl Weathers' skin to trying to chug beer during the greatest handshake of all time. Those of you with delicate sensibilities, this is probably not the episode for you. For those unique few who can laugh at jokes about sedating children, enjoy. This week we watched a great film in 2014’s The Babadook. Please watch it. Watch it by yourself, in your basement, with the lights off. Still with us? Ok, now go pop some prescription grade opiates (share with your child) and listen as we discuss a child that can make terrifying weapons, nutrition labels on malt liquor, and the person who wrote The Three Little Pigs.Download and stream the episode here and on iTunes here.
