Her book “Embers of Hope: Embracing Life in an Age of Ecological Destruction and Climate Chaos” was listed in the “Top 20+ best all-time permaculture books by women,” and her new book, “Climate Care,” is set for publication in 2027. Bonita has facilitated groups for over 20 years and currently leads Climate Mental Health Network’s program for youth activists.

She is in the American Psychological Association’s Climate Change Psychology Advisory Group and was formerly on the Executive Committee of the Climate Psychology Alliance of North America. Her first book is expected in 2026.
