    We are back and delving into the Mattei & Fragasso 1980 virus zombie flick HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD (Virus, Zombie Inferno, Zombie Creeping Flesh, Dusk of the Dead, and many many more). If you dig al the spaghetti zombie/cannibal flicks that were popping out of Italy in the '80s, you should already be a fan of this movie.
    We go over some bands that are absolutely worth checking out, Steve gives a Cheers run down, and we even touch on the finer points of Howard the Duck.

  • Episode 78 | GATES OF HELL (Revisited)
    Hey! We finally got off our lazy asses and uploaded our last episode.
    Back when we first started we would sometimes do three movies an episode and spend more time BSing than talking about the movies. So, we decided to start taking movies from those episodes, that we feel didn't get the attention that they deserved, and revisiting them.
    The first one is Fulci's 1980 release CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD (Gates of Hell). This was only briefly touched on in an earlier episode and it 100% deserves more attention.

  • Episode 77 | NIGHT SCHOOL
    On this episode we dig in to the 1981 slasher/american giallo NIGHT SCHOOL (Terror Eyes). This is probably the closest you will get to an Italian giallo outside of Italy. We also give a sneak peak to the Mannequin 2 segment Steve will be doing each episode. Add in some music and movie suggestion and you have a well rounded episode.

    What's up everyone!? Burnt Offerings is getting back to business as usual. Cheap beer, cheap gore, and not so cheap tapes.
    This week we are talking about the Lamberto Bava directed 1980s horror MACABRE (The Frozen Terror). Based off a supposed true story, this is a decent first solo effort by Bava.
    Aside from the normal list of bands and movies we always give, we also did our first surprise live stream while recording this episode. Cheers to those that found it and tuned in!

    This episode we are back in the realm of 80s slashers. Talking about the 1986, 'Oh no. Our prank, which was totally not a prank, went horribly wrong and we almost killed someone', slasher SLAUGHTER HIGH. Out of the three better known movies based around April Fools day, this is one of the tops.
    Per usual we also hit you with a list of bands worth checking out, as well as some movies that we have been watching.

    This episode we are trying to make sense of the cluster fuck that is ZOMBIE 3. Between subpar scripts, Fulci's early exit from the directors chair, and multiple fill in directors this movie was destined to be the splatter mess that it is. ZOMBIE 3 may not be the sequel we wanted but, it's the sequel we deserved.

    How has it taken us this long to talk about this movie!? We are talking about one of our favorite Lenzi films, 1980s NIGHTMARE CITY (City of the Walking Dead, Incubo). This is THE quintessential radiation infected non-zombie vampire movie.
