Do you dream of speaking but find it to be the HARDEST thing?
Megan Hamilton of UBU Skills joins me on this week's episode to speak about speaking. Megan, an expert in speaking, visibility, and confidence coaching, dives deep into the art of self-assertion in the professional world.
We explore everything from the historical silencing of women's voices to the fine points of personal branding in an epic journey through the cultural forces that influence our vocal empowerment. We dissect generational silence, confront internalized misogyny, and celebrate the freedom of aligning your true self with your business identity.
Megan and I share transformative stories of moving from timid silence to confident expression. We discuss the challenges of public speaking versus theatrical performance, covering everything from memorization and inclusivity to delivering an authentic message. This isn't just a conversation; it's a practical guide packed with anecdotes, strategies, and a heartfelt commitment to growth.
Throughout the episode, we reveal the deep link between personal development and authentic entrepreneurship. By blending personal stories with actionable advice, we highlight the journey for those looking to elevate their presence, whether at work or on influential stages like TEDx. We also tackle online visibility and the complexities of cancel culture, sharing insights on staying grounded and resilient.
This episode is more than just insight—it's your companion for stepping into the spotlight and creating a lasting legacy of visibility.

Build a business debt-free?
Yes, please.
On this week's episode, I sit down with Kimberly Graham, a powerhouse who built a six-figure business without diving into debt. Together, we move past the usual savings advice and dig deep into the heart of financial literacy and empowerment. Why do so many of us feel lost when it comes to finances? Kimberly, a master of money management, gives us the essential tools we often miss out on due to gaps in our education and financial systems.
Kimberly doesn’t just crunch numbers; she completely transforms how we think about success and personal values. Sharing stories of overcoming debt and the freedom that comes from being in control of your money, you'll be inspired to redefine what financial success looks like for you.
We explore the emotional and strategic aspects of money and entrepreneurship, especially for women balancing business and family. Stories sell. Period.
Case in point: have you ever closed a good book with a sense of connection and satisfaction at the journey you've just been through? That's the power of storytelling, and it's not just for books!
This week I'm joined by copywriting whiz Jennifer DeWitt to unravel the art of spinning tales that captivate clients without the hard sell.
Jennifer helps entrepreneurs weave their narratives into marketing gold, proving that even the most everyday experiences can capture your audience's heart and shares how these stories can enrich our lives and businesses.
We talk about how to balance content that serves with stories that sell, and dissect how to turn client transformations into testimonials that don't just sing your praises but tell a tale of real-life magic.
We wrap with a heart-to-heart on navigating the entrepreneurial waters while keeping our personal life afloat. Touching on my shift from education to entrepreneurship to Jennifer's own journey, we explore the importance of authenticity and empathy, both in client relations and personal endeavours. It's about finding your circle, setting boundaries, and valiantly wearing the many hats life throws our way – all while crafting a narrative that rings true to who we are, in and out of the boardroom.
Guest Bio:
Jennifer DeWitt is a website copywriter and storytelling expert. She supports female founders around the globe to craft value-centric, story-driven content that leaves people going, “Hell yes, I want to work with her!”
As a former librarian, Jennifer believes in the power of words, research, and storytelling. Now, she's on a mission to help more business owners expand their impact by harnessing these tools. She’s here to help you sell without ever sounding sales-y.
When Jennifer isn't working, you’ll find her hanging out with family, sipping coffee, or with her nose buried in a book.

Commitment is nothing more than a promise you make... in this case, to yourself.
This episode is all about the transformative power of self-promise—it's the self-made commitment that keeps your business vision alive and thriving.
Over the last 3 episodes, we talked about the combined strength of purpose, priorities and your 5 capacities (aka power) in relation to consistent success.
But none of them work if you don't commit.
For an entrepreneur, promises are more than just words; they're the lifeblood of our commitment to success. It's the promise to stick with it, to follow through, and to get support when you need it. To promise yourself you don't HAVE to go it alone.
It's a short and sweet one this week, but it's the one that makes it all mean something.
If a transition from non-stop hustle to a life-serving business is what you're after, remember, my door is always open for those who want to weave these 4 Ps into the tapestry of their own business ethos.

Ever feel like the mantra "we all have the same 24 hours" doesn't quite fit your life?
This episode tears down that myth and reconstructs a more personal blueprint for success. As we continue dissecting the four Ps of consistent success, we zero in on the third P: power.
I'm here to unfold the layers of your potential, showing you how to prioritize tasks that genuinely push your business forward, and reveal the truth about personal capacity. From the energy you expend to the resources you wield, I'll steer you through making every business move count.
Harnessing power isn't just about sheer effort; it's about the finesse of managing your team, tapping into expert insights, and mastering the art of delegation. This episode isn't just talk—I'm bringing practical tools and personal anecdotes to the table, illustrating how a robust support system is as valuable as your professional network.
We'll also discuss the importance of financial wisdom and investing within your means, preparing you for next week's deep dive into the emotional aspect of promise in business. If you're an entrepreneur at any level, ready to sync your ambitions with your true capacity, this is your sign to listen up.

Ever feel like your business checklist is leading you everywhere except to success?
Last week, we anchored ourselves in purpose. This week, we focus on priorities as the compass to navigate the daily grind of what to do.
This episode is all about ditching the typical to-do list and embracing strategic priorities that align with your business's current stage of growth. We're not just chasing tasks – we're chasing milestones. Join me as I break down the five distinct stages every business experiences and guide you on what to focus on to accelerate your growth -- without bogging you down in burnout.
And it's not about the length of time you've been in business that matters; it's way more nuanced. I share insights on identifying and tackling priorities that matter, ensuring you're not just busy, but productive.

You've heard it before: Trust your gut.
But if it were that simple, we'd never question another decision we made, ever again.
How do you tell the difference between your intuition and fear?
Where is the line between logic and intuitive knowing?
What role do they play in decision-making?
How do you learn to listen to your gut when you've spent your whole life ignoring it for the voice in your head?
Meaghan Pierce, author and entrepreneur, joins us to talk about all things intuition and how she learned to trust her own when it came to making pretty big leaps in her life. Together, we dissect the role of intuition in life's "fork in the road" moments.
We touch on the shadow side of relentless self-improvement, where the pursuit of goals can morph into a cycle of never feeling quite "good enough", and we critically examine the line between life coaching and therapy, offering insights that challenge the status quo and encourage a deeper, more nuanced approach to personal growth.
And when it comes to decision-making, we uncover the crucial role of a supportive community and the power of discernment in choosing whom to confide in. Drawing from our collective experiences, we highlight the significance of having cheerleaders who bolster our intuition and support our dreams, even when faced with skepticism.
If you've ever wanted to learn more about what it actually looks like to trust your gut, you won't want to miss this honest reflection on trusting the compass of your inner voice and the courage to follow it with unwavering conviction.

For 5 seasons we questioned the sacred status quo of…
Business Blasphemy is for accomplished women over 40 who have started questioning the things they once took for granted about success, ambition, work, and what they really want from the rest of their lives.
Hosted by Sarah Khan, the show explores what happens when the beliefs that got you here no longer fit where you're going. Expect candid conversations around ambition, identity, career, money, power, relationships, reinvention, aging, and the complicated experience of wanting more when you've already accomplished a lot.
Sometimes we challenge conventional wisdom; sometimes we question the rules we've inherited about what women should want and when. But we always start from the premise that changing your mind might be the most interesting thing you do next.
