When it comes to attracting new clients, and welcoming sales there’s four key areas that over 90% of equine and canine practitioners miss, and in this week’s podcast episode I’m going to unpack these.
1.Swapping working with ‘anyone’ for truly aligned clients
Working with clients that you really love, those who appreciate the work you do, and match your energy and personality is the most fulfilling and rewarding thing you can do. Working with ‘anyone’ because I need clients is a fast ticket to burnout.
Remember it’s your business, you get to call the shots, so decide who you’d like to work with - both the animals and the people.
2.Absolute clarity on the results you offer and the ripple impacts.
Most practitioners and bodyworkers are selling a session, or package, in short they are selling a time-block of their skills- but that’s not what people want to buy.
We buy to solve problems, and the ripple effects of you helping my animal are huge. Get clear on what these are, and start using this in your marketing.
3. Trusting yourself and staying in ‘your lane’ avoiding shiny object syndrome
There’s a lot of noise online, and it’s easy to get into the trap of feeling that you need to be like other people. Another therapist is offering x, so maybe you do too ? That voice can take hold, and before you know it you’re jumping from one idea to another. Instead trust yourself and go all in on your selected services, and commit to marketing these to the fullest.
4.Taking aligned action and getting right out of your comfort zone
It’s easy to think you are taking action to welcome your next clients, but most equine or canine practitioners are simply repeating what they’ve done before (despite it not giving them the results they want), or are dabbling. Posting inconsistently on social media, and a few local facebook groups, hoping that clients will find them.
What about listening to those nudges, reaching out to the vet you’ve always wanted to work with and doing the things that slightly scare you?
