  • Part 2: Trust and Transparency

I recently asked my coaching clients for feedback, and one of the #1 things I heard was that they love my energy!

At first, I thought, "Dang. I can't teach you that." But then, I realized I actually could.

My energy is based on the beliefs I walk around with - and they determine how I show up in the world.

2 of my greatest beliefs are trust and transparency.

In this episode, I dive into what that actually means and what that looks like for me. I hope you'll listen in.

"Self-trust is really important for growth. This is an invitation to more of it. Where can you lean in? Where can you welcome more trust?"

"The more transparent my business has gotten, the more fulfilled I am. And, it's fun. It's fun to be wide open!"

"And, these two things are connected. Transparency leads to more trustworthiness."

  • Part 1: Be Agile, Do Things Your Way, and Have Fun

I recently asked my coaching clients for feedback, and one of the #1 things I heard was that they love my energy!

At first, I thought, "Dang. I can't teach you that." But then, I realized I actually could.

My energy is based on the beliefs I walk around with - and they determine how I show up in the world.

3 of my greatest beliefs are to be agile, to do life and business your way, and to have fun. Those three things are present in everything that I do.

In this episode, I dive into what that actually means and what that looks like for me. I hope you'll listen in.

But, regardless, here's a quick tip... Any time you want to pick up on someone's energy, pay attention to what they say, how they show up, and what they're doing - that will tell you a lot about their beliefs and maybe even some of your own.

And, if you want to learn more about my favorite coaching styles, beliefs, and modalities, join me for a Coaching Workshop for Coaches on Thursday, September 22nd at 11 am PT / 2 pm ET. We'll take 90 minutes and get into ALL the things, including a time for Q+A and workshopping together. It's FREE, and you can sign up at https://caryngillen.lpages.co/coaching-workshop/.

  • Do It YOUR Way

Today, the tables are turned and I'm sharing a recent conversation from Jill Wright's podcast, where she interviews me - about doing business YOUR way (one of my favorite topics)!

    We get into:

    - "Releasing the Drag" (in life and business)
    - How there is no such thing as a "problem" human
    - The influence of identity and values on business building
    - Discernment, guardrails, achieving goals...
    and so much more.

Let's unhook society's idea of who we are, how it "should" be done, etc., and do it our way. You in?!

"Stop carrying everybody else's luggage, we all have enough of our own."

I hope you'll join us for this conversation!

  • Compassion & Embodiment

In this episode, Embodied Eating Coach, Chanci Dawn talks to us about sticking with ourselves and embracing curiosity instead of judgment.

"We are so loved. We are so, so precious. And, when we own that and truly embody that with compassion, and go back to who we are at our essence, it's really fun to see how everything starts to work."

Chanci gets vulnerable with us and shares her experience with PMDD, what she tells her little/younger self when things get tough, and why she is so passionate about living and coaching out loud.

  • Beautiful Death

Today's episode of the podcast is an important one. I sat down with my friend, Yoga Teacher and Death Doula, Brie Huling to talk about death and how it can actually be quite beautiful.

I tell her, as we're chatting, "when I think of you, I fondly think of death" - and I meant it!

There's a lot about death in mainstream culture that gets in our way. First and foremost, the taboo around even talking about it. So, I'd encourage you to suspend whatever thoughts and feelings you might be having right now and join the conversation with an open mind.

Then, ask yourself: What would it be like to plan for a beautiful death (whether that's for you or in supporting someone else)?

As an added bonus, Brie says, "in centering around death, we get to really anchor into the beauty of living." And, who doesn't want that?

Let's normalize the not-knowing and discomfort, let's change how we think about and view death. This conversation is step one. I hope you'll join us!

  • Brand Strategy

I love experts. And, today's guest is no exception. Michelle Clayton is the Brand Strategist and Designer behind Let Her Fly, a studio for successful women who are ready to look like the pro they are. (She has also done all of my branding - twice now.)

In this episode, we talk about:

    - The difference between brand strategy and design
    - What branding is and how to know if/when you're ready for it
    - How to get started and what the process is like
    - What to do if you've outgrown your brand
    - The most important things to keep in mind
    and more!

If you are a business owner who wants to make sure their branding is aligned and resonates with the right people, this episode is a "must listen."

Michelle has seen, time and time again, a grounded sense of confidence that comes after doing this work... "When your branding is in alignment, your confidence level takes off." And, you can do what you're good at without the constant questioning and tweaking.

    I can corroborate this.

  • The KEEP® Program with Amanda Law

KEEP® is an evidence-based support and skill enhancement program for foster and kinship parents of children and teens. The program supports foster families by promoting child well-being and preventing placement breakdowns.

Foster and kinship parents are key agents of change for the children in their homes, and KEEP® provides a support network for them (via regular meetings that include evidence-based, hands-on training, food, and childcare).

Fostering can be isolating and overwhelming but parents who participate in KEEP® experience fewer challenging child behaviors and less stress - this is universally true, regardless of where the program is taking place (where it was founded, in Oregon, or all the way in Denmark, where it is implemented country-wide).

KEEP® Implementation Support Specialist and Interventionist, Amanda Law joins me in this episode to share all about KEEP® and what it's like to be involved in work that genuinely impacts and benefits the lives of others.

A helpful parenting/human-ing tip she wanted to share is for us all to take one week and notice the nice/helpful things that people are doing, appreciate them, and voice your thanks.

"We always notice when something is out of place," she says. "And, sometimes, we forget to notice all of the things that have fallen into place."

As human beings, parents, and kids, we all want to be seen. We want people to notice when we're doing a great job. This is simply an invitation to recognize the millions of things around us that make our lives work. It's fun and you would be surprised by the difference it makes!

Listen in for more great stuff from Amanda and about KEEP®...

  • Money and the Mother Wound

So many of the beliefs and stories we have around money aren't actually ours - they were passed down to us by our parents or instilled in us by our culture. And, many of them aren't that helpful.

Today's guest, Financial Consultant and Coach, Robin Hanover talks specifically about the stories she learned from her mother and about being a woman in the world of finance.

This conversation will help you discover where you are now in regard to money, where you want to go, and what's stopping you from getting there. It's permission to start afresh, with a clean slate. And, a roadmap to ensure your finances fit into your life plan and not the other way around.

I hope you'll join us for this important conversation.
