  • #132 - Oppenheimer

This week were are tackling one of the most anticipated films of the year. Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer" - a film that chronicles the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the so called "Father Of The Atomic Bomb." Stacked with an unbelievable cast, "Oppenheimer" shows Nolan and his cast at the top of their game. With a massive runtime of 3 hours, can this film do justice to arguably one of the, if not the, most important people, moments, creations, and events in world history? And ultimately...but is Oppenheimer good?

  • #131 - Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One

This week we parachute headfirst into the side of a moving train with Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One! Starring Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Mariela Garriga, Henry Czerny, this newest installation pits Ethan Hawke and his crew against a new, unseen enemy. If you like baddies, lengthy action sequences, 4 long conversations about a key, and blocks being busted, you are going to like this movie. Also Tom Cruise drove a motorcycle off of a cliff and then proceeded to give us the "I love popcorn. Movies. Popcorn." video, so really we all need to support this. And it is easy to do so. OK I am going to end my little rant by asking you the question: But... Is Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One Good?

  • #130 - Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

This week we go headfirst into the Spider-Verse with the newest film in the series - Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse! If you like top-notch animation, spider humor, and being left hanging on cliffs at the end of a movie, you will probably enjoy this film. Based on numerous comics in the Marvel Comic universe, and starring Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Vélez, Jake Johnson, Jason Schwartzman, Issa Rae, Karan Soni, Shea Whigham, Greta Lee, Daniel Kaluuya, Mahershala Ali, and Oscar Isaac, this film continues some time after Into the Spider-Verse left off. Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) gets pulled into another adventure when Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) comes to visit him in his universe. He meets a bunch of other spiders-people/things and a secret spider society led by Miguel O'Hara (Oscar Isaac), a vampire spider-man from the future we think. But... Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Good?

Featuring nazi villains and friends of old, this film has all the pieces that we love about the Indiana Jones franchise. But... Is Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Good?

  • #127 - The Flash

The time is finally here. After years and years of delays, rumors, rewrites, controversy, and more; "The Flash" has finally arrived. A film that is essentially both an ending and starting point, for the DCEU & the DCU respectively, the hype ballooned to a cartoonish point. The film sees controversial star Ezra Miller return as Barry Allen, along with DCEU veteran Ben Affleck as Batman, then Saha Calle as Supergirl and Michael Keaton's anticipated return as his version of Batman. This week we discuss whether or not this film lives up to the hype, as well as the fascinating impact this film has had on the industry as a whole, and what it means for DC's future, if anything. But ultimately we ask...is the The Flash good?

  • #126 - Batman (1989)

This week, we delve into Tim Burton's Gotham with Batman (1989)! Starring Jack Nicholson, Michael Keaton, Kim Basinger, Robert Wuhl, Pat Hingle, Billy Dee Williams, Michael Gough, and Jack Palance, this film is the first installment in what would become a rather disjointed 4-film Batman series. Featuring a darker Gotham and more serious tone than the Adam West Batman films of the 60s, this film features Bruce Wayne's war on crime and his conflict against The Joker. This Batman iteration was partially influenced by The Killing Joke, The Dark Knight Returns, and Red Hood, and Batman creator Bob Kane worked as a consultant on the film. Campy and goofy as much as it tries to be serious, this film stands out as unique among the slew of Batman entries... But Is Batman Good?
