Starring Keanu Reeves and co-directed Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, who both also worked with Reeves on the Matrix films, this movie follows a legendary hit man who comes out of retirement to seek revenge for the killing of his puppy - a final gift from his departed wife. He gets pulled back into a world of assassins and unleashes the inner remorseless killing machine of his past. A return to action films for Reeves, he carries the film with his energy and mythic performance. But… Is John Wick Good? 

No, not morally. We are asking if the movie is good. Why would you even think we meant morally, he KILLS people.

Based on a 2018 novel of the same name, which in turn is based on true events at the Manitoba Colony in Bolivia, Women Talking closely follows a group of women in an isolated Mennonite community who have been the victims of both physical and psychological abuse. While the men are away, they tell the women that they have 48 hours to either forgive their abusers, or leave the colony. This film is an act of female imagination. Deliberate, uncompromising, and tough-minded, this film will challenge its viewer. But… Is Women Talking Good?

This week we dive into the newest MCU release - Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. After a 20 minute opening sequence of classic broken-family failures in communication, Scott Lang and company find themselves somehow stuck in the quantum realm. Oh no, how ever will they get out?! This film is messy from start to finish - an amalgamation of dialogue, characters, and set pieces that just don't seem to belong with one another. And yet, fans continue to line up in droves to be the first to see the newest installment. 

Let us be Frank for a moment (normally we are Hunter and Zach). While the source material is nearly endless, the shelf life of the longest-running comic movie series may be reaching its' end. Just like the Pied Piper led rats through the streets, are we destined to dance like marionettes, swaying to the symphony of cinematic mediocrity? Or, to put it another way - But Is Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Good?

Paul is quickly faced with the harsh realities of war, destroying his preconceived notions of becoming a war hero. This is a film about survival and the atrocities of war. It has been hailed by critics in the U.S. for it's focus on the futility of war, and decried by critics in Germany as being an unfaithful adaptation of its' source material...
