    Dr. Bayo Curry-Winchell holds the esteemed position of Medical Director of Community Engagement and Health Equity, where she spearheads initiatives related to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. Additionally, she serves as the Medical Director of Urgent Care Clinics at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Reno, NV, and is the visionary founder of Beyond Clinical Walls.
    Dr. Curry-Winchell's profound commitment to her community extends beyond her primary roles. She also assumes the role of Medical Director for the Washoe County Sexual Assault Response Team, offering crucial support to survivors of sexual assault. Her dedication shines as she volunteers as an assistant medical examiner at Washoe County Child Protective Services, ensuring the welfare of vulnerable children.
    In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Curry-Winchell lent her expertise to the Reno Mayor's Task Force and the Governors Medical Advisory Team in 2021, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to public health.
    Throughout her career, Dr. Curry-Winchell has been honored with numerous awards, including the prestigious 2022 Healthcare Heroes Award from Nevada Business Magazine. She has also been recognized with the Community Service Award by the Washoe County Medical Society, the 2021 Young Physician Award from the same society, and the 2020 PBS Reno Spotlight Extraordinary Neighbor award.
    Her remarkable accomplishments extend beyond the local arena, with accolades such as the Sierra Nevada's Top 20 Most Powerful Women award in 2019 and her recent recognition as one of the 75 Black healthcare leaders to watch by Becker's Hospital Review. Dr. Curry-Winchell has also served as the President of the Washoe County Medical Society and has had the privilege of being a two-time TEDx presenter.
    Her expertise and insights are not confined to her medical practice; Dr. Curry-Winchell actively participates in national media interviews and consistently contributes to various publications. Outside of her professional endeavors, she finds joy in the company of her husband and their two young daughters, relishing life in the picturesque surroundings of Reno-Tahoe.

  • Black Moms at Risk - Dark Secrets in the US Healthcare System
    From an early age, Bianca Dickerson Williams had a passion for the law and film making, a deep desire to impact the legal community for justice and wanting to be on the right side of it.  She pursued her passion. Bianca holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts - Radio, TV, and Film from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a J.D. degree from Western Michigan University - Thomas M. Cooley Law School and is certified in electronic evidence discovery. She has spent her career in the legal profession providing consultative subject matter expertise to clients in companies, law firms, and government agencies involved in controlling and mitigating risk, as well as a variety of legal disputes and investigations. What Bianca never imagined is that one day she would be waging her own fight for justice, publicly discussing her traumatic experience in the delivery room and a health care system that is stacked against African American and Indigenous mothers. Given Bianca’s film experience and training she took her story to the camera and created a short documentary “Black Moms At Risk” which has won numerous film festival awards and selections.  Bianca is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Inroads Inc. Alumni, and CALIBR-Executive Leadership Council. She lives in the Los Angeles area with her husband and two children who are her greatest achievements.
