I had no idea! The way it was sold to me: Mecha Sally and her later form "Neo Sally" would be revealed as advanced Eggman robotics and a sleeper agent. The REAL Sally Acorn was in cryostasis and the next five year arc would be Sonic traveling the world to find her."
