By The Power

In a slightly later than usual release we for the second time ever review and discuss a cartoon that none of us had ever seen.

Jamie chose this one because he is very proud of his own little my pet monster.

Its a cartoon by Nelvana who have quietly released some really good cartoons since the 1970's and at least one live action blockbuster, we discuss this and take the time to squeeze in our regular features.

And at no point do we discuss 100 dicks or inflatable dolls.

This week we watched 'My Pet Monster' S01E07.

Welcome to a brand new season of 'By the Power'! and for our 51st episode its a hugely popular cartoon for lots of very good reasons.

We discuss what some of us consider to be the best version of Batman, a beautifully animated cartoon which is almost certainly in Jamie's top five cartoons ever.

AND as its a new season we have a brand new quiz, Brand new features and the same old mix of nonsense and fun we hope you all love.

This week we watched '"Almost Got 'Im' " which was episode 46 from Season 1 of Batman: the Animated Series.

Its the Final Episode of Season 2 of By The Power, your number 1 most loved podcast!

And this week Stu chooses his number 1.. 'Gadget'.. and the rest of the Rescue Rangers too.

So sit down and open a Cola as we discuss episode 14 from season 2 "The Case of the Cola Cult".

This episode of BTP is extra cheesy and stuffed full of fun as we hit our last ever "whose line was it anyway" and tease whats coming in season 3 (its going to start off a bit dark).

Thanks to everyone who listened during Season 2 from Stu, James, Jamie and Kane.

Robots! Lions! ROBOT LIONS!

Robot Lions that combine into a bigger Robot Lion.. What's not to love in this weeks cartoon VOLTRON.

We discuss the history of giant robots in anime and cartoons, have fun thinking about how much fun it would be becoming the leg and ask why in these cartoons dont they just become the giant robot at the start!

When Voltron was adapted for US audiences they famously removed scenes depicting death, religion, sex and violence. We dont remove any of that from our episodes! BTP 1 - Voltron 0.

All of our usual fun and games are here as we get close to the end of this season.

We watched the episode 'Voltron Vs Voltron' Season 1 Episode 44.

You like Tomayto! I like Tomarto!

Tomayto! Tomarto!

Tomayto! Tomarto!

Lets call the whole thing off..

Worry not listeners we did not call it off, instead we dived into a vegetable disaster of an episode. A kids cartoon based on a 1978 horror movie parody 'The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes", we watched the very first episode "Give a little whistle".

We chat about sexy Toms.. little Toms.. Furry Toms and everything in between. There is our usual quiz moment, an amazing joke, and discuss a problem at the BTP studio!

"A problem at the studio, whats that?" you ask?

Well its the place we all sit with our microphones and record the podcast of course! but I'm not sure thats important right now.

So grab those earphones, settle down in bed and let the BTP squad help you sleep...

We do love it when Animals that think they are humans fight bad guys!

We really love it when there are Dinosaurs in our cartoons.

We really REALLY love it when its as insane as Swat Kats!

We give this cartoon a very solid score, we quiz one another on our favourite cartoon animals, ask arguably the worst 'would you rather' so far.

And James and Jamie demonstrate why we are such a hit podcast!

This week we watched Episode one of season one of Swat Kats.

If the 'By The Power' squad were to be in a cartoon I think it would be Defenders of the earth, but which characters would we be?

Listen and find out! If that doesn't make you mash the play button then how about another round of 'Whose line was it anyway'.. or an amazing 'Would you rather'.. a James joke or a Kane fact! this weeks episode has it all!

This week we watched the episode "The Sleeper Awakes" we rate it and discuss the all powerful literally unstoppable Annihilation robot.

When a super-suit lands on a worm and that worm mutates into a bigger worm with eyes.. you know your in for a treat, that's what I always say!

This week let's take in a great video game that launched a popular cartoon, more video games and a new season later this year.

We also have a special one off new quiz 'Who Worms to be a Millionaire' which is exactly as fun as it sounds.

All the usual stuff and nonsense and a last 10 minutes that might make you end the podcast early.. but DON'T as you will miss James telling possibly the best joke of the year so far.

This week we watched Earthworm Jim S01E05 - "Conqueror Worm".

In an episode about shoes that are people we have questions!

And as its 'By the Power' you're listening to you wont be surprised that a large number of them involve romantic relations with shoes.

We do also discuss the actual cartoon that made its way with a dubbed version to the USA and 60+ other countries too, It must be good then right... RIGHT!?

We had a lot of fun and tried not to tread over any old ground as we watched Shoe People episode 1 and 2 of series/season 1.

Enjoy the pod.

The Moomins are a brilliantly weird hippo-ish looking family that star in some of the best cartoons available.

This must be true as since 1959 there have been 14 entirely different programmes created in 8 countries.

We watched 'Moomin' The 1990 Japanese made version and we didnt all love it.. However we did love wondering whats so special about the Moomins. And as usual the cartoon is an excuse to talk nonsense and have some fun.

This week we watched 'Moomins' S01E60 'The Terrible Little My'.
