In these troubling times, it is good to remember many of the things we worry about are unimportant in the scheme of eternity, because none of us know when we will be called out of darkness into his wonderful light.

We all need role models. We need good examples to follow and we should be a good example to others. The model that Jesus gave us to follow is good for business.

50 years ago, Thomas Merton wrote, “with the enormous amplification of news and of opinion, we are suffering from more than acceptable distortions of perspective.” Today we call it “fake news.”

Although mercy is not something that is typically valued in the workplace, extending mercy is extremely valuable.

People can’t wait to go back to where we were before the #coronavirus #pandemic. The problem is, we can’t, and we shouldn’t. Instead of fighting it, we should accept and embrace it and be forever changed for the better.

In response to the coronavirus, some companies are responding with charity and others are seeking personal gain. The contrast speaks volumes about the character of the decision-makers at these companies.

A person’s character is revealed by how he/she responds in a crisis. Selfish or generous, critical or encouraging, complaining or grateful are choices of character.
