Ski resorts around the area are starting to open up for the 2018-2019 winter season. Grand Targhee and Sunvalley Ski Resorts have already opened their slopes. Other resorts such as Pomerelle in Twin Falls, Bogus Basin in Boise and Kelly Canyon near Rire are still waiting for more snow and will post opening dates on their websites. Some resorts will provide special events and deals for this season.

Every November, writers of all backgrounds and experience levels unite to accomplish the lofty feat of writing a 50,000 word novel. As a part of National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo for short, this month has become an opportunity to tell stories.
