"It does take a lot of time and effort," Joseph Lawless, the play's director, and a BYU-Idaho alumni told BYU-Idaho Radio. "It's educational theater, so it's always about the process, it's how do things grow from when they began, discoveries that they make as they go along, the connections and bonds that they make, even if they had friendships beforehand, coming together then - I mean, they've put in a lot of time and effort to put this show together and so it's great to see how they are able to really come together and connect and become friends and I think that makes for a stronger show as well."

"I have learned to know the difference between offering prayers with my lips and offering mighty prayers," Elder Juan Uceda of the Presidency of the Seventy said in his devotional. "When I offer a mighty prayer, I feel something. Sometimes I feel peace, sometimes I feel joy, sometimes I feel comfort, sometimes I feel loved."

"We live in a world where there are so many voices challenging our principles, our values, that it is key for us to make sure that we have that connection with the heavens," Elder Juan Uceda of the Presidency of the Seventy told BYU-Idaho Radio. "When we have that connection with the heavens, that personal relationship with our Father in Heaven, we receive strength, wisdom, promptings, impressions that will help us along the way to make the right decisions, not only to make right decisions, but also especially, to help other people as they struggle.

"Jesus stands with His arms outstretched, waiting for us to seek Him...He is immovable, He is all loving and He is calling to us to come to Him, to seek Him out in our daily life, in our daily walk, no matter the other voices and other distractions that we all have," Sister Neill F. Marriott, second counselor in the General Young Women's Presidency told BYU-Idaho Radio. "To continue to move toward Him, because He is there..."

"One of the other executive producers of the show and a director of many of the episodes, his name is Ryan Little," Aaron Johnston, executive producer and co-writer of Extinct, told BYU-Idaho Radio. "We were going to a science-fiction, independent feature and I pulled in my frequent collaborator Orson Scott Card and he and I developed the idea behind Extinct...around this time, our producer...was contacted by BYU because they were looking for television content."
