Democrats in the California legislature met over the weekend to negotiate new congressional maps. This comes as Governor Gavin Newsom is proposing a controversial redistricting plan in response to Republicans in Texas redrawing their own lines to grab more GOP seats. The redrawing of the maps could determine control of the House following the Midterms.
