2. (11:11) JJ Watt’s tweet sounds a lot like MLB issues which forced delays. Will the NFL be different? I can live without other sports, but not football! Can a sport built on blood, sweat and spit survive Covid-19?

3. (13:35) A week from today the Washington Nationals finally begin defense of their 2019 World Series title when they host former Astros ace Gerrit Cole and the New York Yankees in our nation’s capital. Umm...they were supposed to, but will they? I hate you Covid-19 with the heat of a billion suns.

4. (14:46) I was looking for some sound for the podcast on You Tube and randomly in my playlist was a famous clip of then Pirates manager Jim Leyland going OFF on a young and skinny, but still superstar Barry Bonds. The language is colorful, so be warned. What would happen if a coach or manager went off on a superstar like this in today’s sports landscape? Unemployment.
5. (17:27) ESPN’s Rachel Nichols was done dirty and wrong by a disgruntled coworker trying to grab some grim on her down in Orlando at the NBA bubble. Her room is set up to do live shows from Florida and one would assume when she’s not on the air, all the broadcast devices would be turned off. Not so much. Deadspin (who knew?), received footage of Nichols in her room discussing business matters as we all do given office politics. Obviously the footage was obtained illegally. ESPN Relased a statement on Thursday:
“We are extremely disappointed about the leak of a private conversation. It’s indefensible and an intrusion on Rachel’s privacy. As for the substance of the conversation, it is not reflective of our decision-making on staffing assignments for the NBA, which has largely been driven by the circumstances of the pandemic.”
