After an up-and-down season the Panthers needed just one defensive stop to upset the Rams and move to the divisional round. That... is not what happened. A better, more experienced team eked out a win over a promising but young (pun intended) team that has a tendency to trip over their own feet.

However, the future looks bright in Charlotte. With another offseason to acquire talent, develop chemistry, and learn from myriad mistakes, the team and the fans have every reason to hope for an even more competitive season next time around.

Though it seemed the powers that be had their fingers on the scale against the Panthers during our final "win and in" game, help came from an unlikely ally as the Falcons defeated the Saints to create a three-way tie in the NFCS. The Panthers had the best head-to-head record among the teams thanks to their sweep of the Falcons, sending our boys to the playoffs as division champs for the first time in a decade!
