4.22.18 Waiting Room-When the Enemy Presses. Exodus 14 You feel explosions all around you & all you know to do is duck & cover because the Enemy is pressing hard to cause us to retreat or give up. We want control, but do we surrender ourselves to God or take control?

The more I seek to fill myself up by my own capability, the more I'm poured out & left empty. The more I'm broken by life and the experiences I feel, I am left shattered wondering how to put the pieces back together. Jesus, the good king, doesn't just glue us together, He restores us. No matter how bad, God can heal you & give you what you need.

We serve a God who is at work in this world. We don't serve a God who is uninterested in this world. May we be who we are called to be in Christ.

Ephesians 6: 5-9 Paul reminds us where power comes from, that he the powers that we are subject to ultimately come from God. What we do in our work ultimately contributes to God's Redemptive action in the world.

2.4.18 Be The Message: Suit Up. Ephesians 6:10-20 Paul uses this message to show that God is the Warrior that Battles on our behalf. We are called to battle on behalf of others to make this world a Better place. The Evil One will do everything in its power to give you more than You can handle, but God can handle all of it. Our armor is not put on to attack all you disagree with.

1.28.18 Called to Serve --Ephesians 2:1-10 Love entails Service. We are called to serve out of regard for the other. Service is not the same as only doing service projects. As Paul states, we are His Masterpiece, created new to do good works, but don't boast, we are not saved By works, but For works. We are most alive when we dethrone ourselves to serve others.

1.14.18 Be the Message: Call to Love. 1 Corinthians 13 speaks of being a clanging cymbal if you speak of God and His great love, but do not have love yourself. Mother Teresa said, " Love begins at home. To Love one another with Great Love. A love to be True has to Hurt."
