Caffeine Hangover episodes

  • 9. Surviving Pets
The girls begin this week’s Caffeine Hangover with a reminder to listen to the last episode for a compiled list of resources you can use to help the Black Lives Matter movement, and that we must continue to take action together. They discuss the new Diversify the Bachelor campaign and why The Bachelor continues to be problematic. Cassidy shares a weird story from her week and then they dive into everything PETS. What do we think Pawter’s Enneagram is? Are we cat or dog people? Do our goldfish love us? Ayla shares a story about a pet tortoise. They give all of their opinions on pet Instagrams (and when they go too far) and pets with human names. Cassidy asks Ayla some Would You Rather questions about Pawter (peep him on our cover art, btw), then they play a game of Get It or Quit It - Pet Edition. Topics in question include hairless cats, dyeing your dog’s hair, playing dress up with your animals, and pet tarantulas. Finally, the girls have a mutual subject to Wine About It this week regarding 2020 in general.

  • 8. Surviving Self-Care
Ayla and Cassidy both have new backyard pets this week, and share the winner from last week’s Bitmoji making challenge. They wonder if flossing is self-care and talk about doing the worm at parties. Cassidy shares her homemade face mask recipe that she thinks works well and Ayla shares stories of homemade hair masks gone wrong. They consider whether baking is self-care or self-sabotage, and why they’re bad at meditation and savasana in yoga. The girls get into some weird self-care trends like butt masks, fish pedicures, and scream sessions. They debate whether online shopping is self-care, and realize the moral is they want to self-care like Sharpay but are cheap queens who self-care on a budget. Cassidy gets into the new book she is reading called The Fuck It Diet by Caroline Dooner, a book meant to heal your relationship with food and your body. They wonder if a self-care retreat can even be considered a vacation and play a round of Get It or Quit It - Self-Care Edition. Then, it’s Ayla’s turn to Wine About It - this week on food-scented candles.

  • 7. Surviving At-Home Workouts
Ayla starts off the episode telling the tale of pasta sauce-gate 2020 this week, and the girls give their opinions on the new Facebook avatars taking over all of our feeds. They discuss their differing opinions on thrift shopping and the new Starbucks Frappuccino hack that blew their minds. The girls then get into different at-home workout options available if you’re a gym person who is suddenly wondering what the heck to do with yourself, as well as makeshift equipment they use. They talk motivating yourself to work out at home, and play a game of Get It or Quit It - At-Home Workout Trends Edition. Ayla shares the weird place she does squats and they discuss the 5k a Day May trend. The moral: Do forms of exercise you like and try not to beat yourself up right now. Then, what we’ve all been waiting for, the Listen to Your Heart FINALE! Cassidy once again gets heated about the couples standing and staring at each other and the girls give all of their opinions on this weird episode. #JusticeforRudi.

  • 6. Surviving The 5 Love Languages
Cassidy starts the episode off by sharing her allergy medication screw up and the girls wonder why they keep going on runs even though they seem to hate it. They obsess over Fleabag and Cassidy freaks out when Ayla tells her one of the actors is in another show she likes. They get the topic of the week: The 5 Love Languages. They go through each love language and confirm that they are definitely not huggers. Cassidy and Ayla each share their quiz results and decipher how the love languages we receive love in most are not necessarily how we show love the most. They talk about how it can vary from significant others to friendships and how love languages can sometimes shift depending on your relationship. Ayla shares why acts of service can be tricky when you like to be in control and Cassidy shares the wrong way to react to a surprise from someone who shows love through gifts. They discuss when words of affirmation can become too much (yes, it’s possible), what quality time even is, and why physical touch can cause a lot of awkward moments. Then, of course, a Listen to Your Heart recap and why this week’s episode broke our hearts.

  • 5. Surviving Disney as an Adult
Cassidy and Ayla give their quarantine quirk updates including their respective newfound hygiene qualms. Then they are joined by their first ever special guest, Katlyn Conklin, aka Conk. Conk tells a story about one of her craziest guests who gave her his mixtape while working as a VIP Tour Guide at Disney World, and we dive into everything Disney! How Cassidy and Conk first caught the Disney bug, their tips for adults at Disney, and their biggest Disney World pet peeves. They give the tea on Disney World proposals/honeymoons, and Ayla is still just confused about why people enjoy Disney so much. They go rapid fire through their Disney favorites and Ayla mediates a riveting game of Disney World would you rather (and presents a fabulous tattoo idea). Then, they play a round of Get It or Quit It - Disney Trends Edition. The girls then chat about which Disney characters they had the hots for growing up (and now, no shame). Lastly, of course, a quick recap of this week’s episode of The Bachelor Listen to Your Heart which had us screaming at our TVs.

  • 4. Surviving TikTok as a Millennial
Cassidy and Ayla realize a classic childhood movie is problematic, and Ayla shares the reason for her first fight with her boyfriend in quarantine. They discuss how insane it is that we don’t seem to care about the UFO discovery, and give their opinions on the steamy new Netflix reality TV series: Too Hot To Handle. The girls then dive into what it’s like being a millennial on TikTok. How did we get here, when did we get so old, and what the hell is the “whoa?” They discuss their favorite videos to watch versus what makes them highly uncomfy. Then, a game of Get It or Quit It - TikTok trend edition. In their recap of ABC’s Listen to Your Heart, Cassidy and Ayla disagree about one contestant and Cassidy has a conspiracy theory about Jason Mraz. They bring in a revamped segment from the first episode: Wine About It - this week on people eating during Instagram stories.

They discuss their quarantine quirks - weird things we’ve all found ourselves doing in our newfound solitude - and dive into something that has suddenly consumed all of our lives: Zoom culture.
