Cage/Fight Podcast

The podcast avoids the 27 club as we convene to discuss the 1995 film Kiss of Death, which also features Samuel L. Jackson and David Caruso, and the 2009 film Astro Boy, an animated feature based on the character by Osamu Tezuka. Tune in to hear about some fun communist robots and just how annoying Michael Rappaport is.

It's the first episode of round 2. Our first contender is a live version of Soulfly's Bleed, which features Fred Durst and a strange special guest. Next up is the Carmax commercial starring Fred Durst. There's also a lot of Nu Metal riffing (both comedic and guitar) and soundboard fuckery.

It's DC vs Marvel on this episode of Cage/Fight, featuring guest Jeff Marra. We analyze the 2018 animated movie Teen Titans Go! to the Movies and the returning champion, 2007's Ghost Rider.

It’s the final episode of round one, and we discuss two songs that Fred Durst is featured on. First up is “Seamless,” from Cory Feldman’s 2016 album “Angelic 2 the Core.” The other contender is “Get Naked” by Methods of Mayhem, a Tommy Lee rap project, off of their eponymous 1999 debut.

The moment we've all been waiting for: we get to talk about 9/11 for most of an episode. We cover the romantic comedy from the year 2000 the Family Man, and Oliver's Stone's 2006 film World Trade Center. RIP to Mohamed Atta

In this #freddurstfriday we go through two Fred Durst directed movies: 2019's the Fanatic, starring John Travolta, and 2007's the Education of Charlie Banks, starring Jesse Eisenberg. This is a long one, so plug in and get ready for some Dursty goodness.

Here we tackle the 1993 limited release western-noir film Red Rock West and the returning champion Trapped in Paradise from episode 7. We also learn just how much it would cost to get 75,000 pounds of potato flakes.

In episode 6 of #freddurstfriday we look into the events surrounding the riots at Woodstock '99 and whether or not Limp Bizkit was responsible, as well as a dump in the city of Austin that was almost named after the Durst himself.

Now with extra fighting! This time it's the 2010 super hero film Kick-Ass going up against returning "champion" Zandalee, a film that proved to be contentious in round 1. Who will win? Honestly if you listen to the show a lot you probably know already, but there's a lot of fun along the way.

We watch two Fred Durst films for the first time, 2006's Population 436 (in which he starred) and 2008's the Longshots (which he directed).
