  • An Artist Speaks with Guest Pete Mair
Pete sits down with our host, Mike Harris, and discusses his artwork, art philosophy and his approach to art.
Pete was born in Neptune, New Jersey, which is very close to the ocean.  Living close to the water is something Pete missed very much, while living in Atlanta, Georgia.  It was in Atlanta where Pete began his professional career as an Artist.  He joined an artist group in Atlanta and was accepted into a few local galleries, where he began selling both his original paintings as well as his reproductions.  Pete is born to an artistic family.  His brother is also a painter.  Pete came to art late in life. He felt that art belonged to his bother.  So Pete pursued music.  These days you’ll catch Pete playing his music as well as creating beautiful art.
Pete considers his art to be somewhere between realism and impressionism.   Pete works with watercolors, gouache, and acrylics.   Pete enjoys painting a wide range of subject matter.
Don't miss this lively and entertaining show.

  • An Artist Speaks: Interview with Lynette Slape
An Artist Speaks sits down with Lynette Slape and discusses her art and life.  When Lynette was a little girl, her parents took her to art and history museums.  Like many children, Lynette was very bored.  Because of her youth, she did not yet understand how important art was.  While in school, Lynette was given the choice to take classes in the fine arts or music.  Since Lynette didn’t know anything about music she chose the fine arts.  Once in college, Lynette could not decide on what major to choose.  This drove her crazy.  It finally occurred to her, that art is what made her happy.

About CAGOMedia

From the publisher's feed

Contemporary Art Gallery Online is your number 1 source for all original contemporary art. CAGOnline is proud to showcase Tomorrow's Art Giants, Today. To further expose these talented artists, CAGOnline has created CAGO Media. CAGO Media has two purposes. First is to share art business ideas, and secondly to introduce artists to the buying public. CAGO Media accomplishes both of these initiatives, by programming Radio and TV shows. The Business of Art Show airs bi-monthly, 15 to 20 minute episodes. Hosted by Sharon Belle Hawkshawe, each episode discusses everything pertaining to the Business of Art. The What is Art Show is a monthly 30 minute episode with hosts Michael Harris (art collector) and Sharon Hawkshawe (acclaimed artist), who discuss current art movements and art shows. Our hosts are occasionally joined by museum curators, gallery owners, art critics and art insiders. The third show is An Artist Speaks. These lively 30 minute episodes are in depth interviews with Artists; discussing their art process, philosophy and a candid look at their work. Finally; every month, a video is produced showcasing the monthly art participants. Other videos highlight gallery artist and art styles.
