Coinneach Macleod - AKA The Hebridean Baker - joins us for our last Cake Break of the year, and it's a good'n!
Joined by his friend's cat and his first ever fudge doughnut, it was such a joy to speak to Coinneach about all things baking. Our first baker on the podcast, Coinneach chats with us about traditional Scottish recipes, island life, lockdown, TikTok, meeting fans and of course, Seòras his dog!
We also discuss his new book 'The Hebridean Baker' which is F&D approves and a perfect Christmas gift for any budding bakers in your life.
This week we're chatting to renowned Scottish musician and long-time friend of F&D, Mr Kenny Anderson, AKA King Creosote. With rock buns, apple tarts and lots of chat, this was a fun one to record. Talking about everything from suit-fittings to seagulls, macaroni to missing (or not missing) live music. We hope you enjoy it!
This episode we sat down with acclaimed Scottish crime writer, Val McDermid and her partner, St Andrews University Professor, Jo Sharp.
With tea and cake we chat picking novel locations, lockdown, home-baking, St. Andrews, Dundee and the apocalypse, amongst many other things!
Over a cuppa and our GF fudge doughnuts and florentines (now made with GF ingredients), we had such a lovely chat with Val and Jo back in March.
Val's latest novel, Still Life, is available now in all good book shops.

This week we sat down for a cuppa and a GF fudge doughnut with our good friend, awesome comedian and all-round great human, Josie Long.
From memories of doughnut-fuelled festivals and water-skiing with the F&D family, to baking with toddlers and lockdown, it was such a laugh to chat over zoom with Josie.
We hope you enjoy!
We sit down for cake and a chat with Scottish designer Nikki McWilliams
