If I had to sum up the basics of my faith into three points that could be presented in just a few minutes, it would be something like this.

First point:   There is a God.

Second Point:   He (God) loves us.

Third Point:   We respond to His love.

Over the years I’ve heard several reasons and benefits of doing my personal devotions in the morning, daily. One of the best reasons for this is that “God gave manna in the morning”. As His people would be hungry each day, He gave them sustenance each morning to get a good start on the day.

Music can be a powerful tool. Just like any tool, it can be used for creation or destruction. Godly music can be used for creating praise and worship, teaching, edifying the believer and everything else that the word of God has power to do in and through us.

The company that you work for likely has a Mission Statement, clearly defining who and what they are, helping to direct their business model, goals and activities. Unless you have already done so, I encourage you to develop your own, personal Mission Statement.

We all need the comfort and encouragement that come from reading and understanding God's promises. The pages of scripture are filled with many precious promises. Meditating on these give us confidence to help face the challenges of life.

When it comes to a strategic plan for a mature, happy and fulfilled Christian life, here’s a ‘winning combination’, three wins, a “trifecta”, here is the prescription: read, trust and obey.

Thank God that we are the Land of the Free and home of the brave. Or as we have also heard it the “Land of the Free because of the Brave”. Celebrating our independence includes the fact that we are an “Independent” nation. As individuals we enjoy freedoms and independence.

Do you make a “list” for things you want and/or need to accomplish? The young, or ‘young at heart’ make a list of dreams and goals. When folks get older or due to health issues, they realize that their time is short, they sometimes make a “bucket list”. Scripture provides some pretty good guidance/instructions for us regarding our goals and desires.

Take Time To Be Holy. Reality is that we actually have to MAKE time to be Holy. God makes it clear that His priests and their garments need to be Holy, dedicated to Him. And all believers are to be Holy as He is Holy. It is important and takes effort on our part, although only God, Himself can make that happen.

We must ‘redeem the time’. It is extremely important. Some of the reasons why include: the fact that Christ has redeemed us, we are in spiritual warfare every day and redeeming the time is an opportunity, our privilege, indeed it is our God given resonsibility.
