  • The accounts of Sodom and Gomorrah deals with unrighteousness 
  • Abraham prays for Sodom and ask God to save it for those that are righteous

  • No one in Sodom was living for God they did what was right in their own eyes

What does having a call on your life look like? The simple answer to this question is to follow our discussion with Chivas Davis. Chivas is an entrepreneur and art is his business and ministry 

• A young child in the midst of wisdom
  • He attended Victoria Manner Church of Christ with his parents
  • He and his family attended Dania Church of Christ
  • He grew up in the body without distractions because there were no children his age
  • He was baptized at the age of 6 in the body
  • He shared how Christ said to suffer the little children to come to me
  
  
• The challenges faced as a youth and a young adult 
  • Chivas was bold enough to correct older people by using the word of God 
  • He shared how it was important to live according to the word and looking up to older Christians for encouragement
  • He was an outcast because the other youth were not all in
  •  Chivas made it a point to avoid all the issues the other youth were dealing with
  
  
• Being called out means walking the journey alone
  • Using the word of God to help us walk this journey when we don’t have others to help us study 
  • The journey was lonely because he had two sets of friends (school and church)
  • He shared that he would rather live life at the latter end of Job’s life
  • God was not in her first marriage because she strayed away
  • With her second she was back in the body and she knew what to do where her spirituality was concerned

• The Lord God’s promise comes to fruition
  • Sarah gets pregnant at 90 years old and prepares for the birth of Isaac

  • Isaac is born and is circumcised on the 8th day
  
  
• The Lord God test Abraham
  • The Lord God ask Abraham to offer Isaac as a burnt offering 
  • Abraham left his servants and went to the mountain God told him to go to in order to offer up Isaac  
  
  
• Sarah dies in chapter 23, Abraham buries her, remarries, has other children and he dies
  • Sarah dies and Abraham buries her
  • Abraham remarries after losing Sarah and has other children 
  • Abraham blesses Isaac and sends his other children away from Isaac
  • Finally, Abraham fall asleep and is buried in a ripe old age

What does having a call on your life look like? The simple answer to this question is to follow our discussion with Amanda Gaudin. Amanda is a young adult who decided to step out on faith and trust the Lord’s leadership in her life.

• Growing up in the body
  • Amanda obeyed the gospel when she was in the 5th grade 
  • She obeyed the gospel because she saw her mom obey the gospel
  • She knew she did the right thing for the wrong reason
  • Amanda attended a Christian college learned the word for herself
  
  
• The tug of war in her Spirit
  • She was baptized at the New Golden Heights Church of Christ under the leadership of Dr. W. F. Washington 
  • She heard Doc preach about going to hell but she was following her mother’s direction
  • She was going through the tug of war with herself trying to stay true to the word
  
  
• Taking her walk seriously
  • Amanda struggled in middle school because she still wanted to be with the in-crowd
  • When she made it to high school she brought friends to the Lord and took her walk more seriously  
  • She did not compromise her virtues while in high school 
  
  
• Going to a Christian College tested her faith
  • She learned a lot as a Christian and in her humanity
  • Amanda had those moments when she struggled with staying on track 
  • She was transformed through her journey while on the college
  • Amanda experimented with weed smoking and drinking
  • She stayed true to herself and remained a virgin

• The Lord God had Abraham and all the males in his household circumcised

What does having a call on your life look like? The simple answer to this question is to follow our discussion with Argustia Salter. Argustia took us through her wilderness and then straight to the river of her soul.

• Love or so she believed
  • She was called out and reborn again after a rocky road 
  • Argustia was baptized at the age of 16 but did not have proper guidance
  • She began to believe the Church of Christ was not right because she did not agree with the preacher
  • The devil took her over the woods and through the mountains and into the woods
  • She married a man that was abusive all through their marriage
  • Argustia had to make a decision to leave her abusive husband
  
  
• The Day the Son shined on her 
  • Argustia began to search and seek the Lord once she left her ex husband 
  • The enemy still had a hold on her but the Lord continued to prove Himself to be true
  • She would say I don’t have a car and no clothes and the Lord provided all her needs
  •  As she laid in her bed the Son (sun) shown brightly into her room and she knew it was time to get back into worship
  
  
• Second Marriage and abuse
  • Argustia remarried and her second husband called himself trying to abuse her
  • She left him because he was abusive and jealous alcoholic 
  • She began to search the scriptures and the Lord was opening her eyes to see Him
  • God was not in her first marriage because she strayed away
  • With her second she was back in the body and she knew what to do where her spirituality was concerned

  • The renewed covenant is to help Abram understand that God was still working.
  • God had Abram to attempt to count the stars so he could show him how great his descendants would be
  • God has Abram bring five different animals for sacrifice
  • The blood seals the promise of the covenant
  
  
•  Abram falls asleep and sees a vision
  • The explains Abrams vision and tells him what will befall his descendants
  • They were going to be enslaved for 400 years
  • God will deliver them out of slavery
  • The blood covered Adam and Eve when they sinned.
  
  
• Abram, Sarai and Hagar
  • Abram received a promise from God, but he listened to his wife and disobeyed God
  • Hagar gave birth to Abram's son
  • Abram named Hagar's son Ishmael (God hears)

What does having a call on your life look like? The simple answer to this question is to follow our discussion with Patrica Baker. Sis. Baker had a candid and transparent conversation with us regarding love and healing. 

• Baptism and love
  • Patricia was in a relationship with the father of her son 
  • She obeyed the Gospel and knew she had to end the relationship because it was not right in the sight of God
  • Met her future during a single fellowship/birthday party
  • She was not praying for a mate but she was praying for a Godly husband
  • They courted for 6 months then they married
  • Married for 18 years until he was called home
  
  
• Loss and spirituality 
  • Patricia had to be her husband caregiver and partner 
  • She kept her had in God’s hand
  • Patricia had to raise her 9 year old daughter on her own and care for her husband 
  
  
• Colon cancer and daughter’s deployment
  • Patricia was diagnosed with colon cancer a year after the loss of her husband
  • She had other health issues even after battling colon cancer 
  • Realising that the Lord God was in the entire situation with her health issues
  
  
• Being a professional worshipper
  • Patricia was a professional worshipper 
  • Working in the church does not mean you have a relationship with the Lord
  • Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13
  • Patricia now host the 6:30 am call with Winning the Battles in Your Mind University

  • Lot also had riches
  
  
• Abram believed God, he was still flawed
  • Abram was trying to live because of the famine in the land
  • God used the enemy to bless Abram and his family
  • God counted all that Abram did as righteous 
  • Abram was not prideful and accepted where his blessing were coming from 
  
  
• God punished Pharaoh and his household
  • God brought a plague on the house of Pharaoh
  • Pharaoh knew the plague was brought on them because of Abram
  • Pharaoh gave Sarai back to her husband
  • This Pharaoh knew that Abram was a man of God

• What does having a call on your life look like? The simple answer to this question is to follow our discussion with Robyn Williams. Robyn is a single mother with an amazing calling on her life and she knows she was chosen for this journey.
• Going underground
  • Mom knew she had to keep herself and her children safe 
  • Sleeping in cars, friends couches and staying on the run
  • They moved around a lot and they did not get attached to friends
  • Mom had to work several jobs to care for Robyn and her siblings
  • Mom had to get babysitters to help with Robyn and her siblings
  
  
• Surviving sexual abuse
  • The first time she experience abuse was at the hand of a babysitter 
  • She became promiscuous and had a child at 17
  
  
• Going off to college
  • Robyn knew she needed to do better for herself because she was a mom
  • She partied hard, was able to maintain her grades  
  • Before finding Christ she felt unworthy 
  
  
• Finding love in Christ 2011
  • Robyn knew God was there the whole time 
  • When she walked by the church of Christ in her area, Robyn knew she needed to walk in 
  • Attended worship for months before saying yes to Christ
  • Her son obeyed the gospel first and she had a date in her head to obey but the calling from God was so powerful
  • Every song sang moved her to tears due to her realizing she did not need to go anywhere else.
