Calling All Creatures

So I have a local rescuer coming on with me this coming Thursday. I'll be speaking with Nancy Young-Wright, founder of Rescue Me Tucson. Nancy has been doing a lot of great things in Pima County and Apache River Reservation and she's going to tell us about some of those things. She's also going to fill us in on how she decided to start her rescue and what their future plans are. I hope you all can join us from 6-7:30 pm, AZ time.

Hey everyone, I have a really good podcast tonight! I have Kelly Diehl from the Morris Animal Foundation talking with me! She's going to fill us in on all of the great things Morris Animal Foundation does to help contribute to research to help our dogs, cats, equines, and wildlife be healthy and stay healthy, from giving grants to their own research. They have also been doing a Golden Retriever Lifetime Study which will hopefully give them lots of good data to help with that breed as well as other breeds that have similar health issues. I hope you all enjoy all of the great information Kelly has to share with us!

No guest tonight unfortunately, but I'm gonna maybe tell a couple funny stories and give out a couple tips about different animal things.

Sorry everyone I couldn't find a guest for tonight and then we have Thanksgiving so I will be on hiatus for this month. But stay tuned because I'm finalizing details for a really cool guest that I'm hopefully going to have on in the next couple months. Once I make the announcement as to who it is you guys are going to really enjoy that podcast so again stay tuned for that announcement. I am working on for some shows for December but if it doesn't work out I may be on Hiatus until after the New Year.

I've got an interesting podcast this week, we're going to be talking to Jeff Loncosky from PInups For Pitbulls. Pinups For Pitbulls helps to educate people about BSL and why it doesn't work and tries to end breed discriminatory laws. They pose as pinups with pitbulls to help promote their cause.

Feral Cat TNR - How Does It Work? I hope to answer that and other questions with my guest Alecs with Tucson Feral Trap Neuter Return - TNR Advocates. We'll discuss what TNR is, how it works, and the benefits of having a program like this in your community.  I also want to put out there that my guest Alecs let me know that they prefer to call the cats community cats not feral cats. The term feral is a dispositon describing their nature, which could mean they were born wild and have never had real human contact. TNR can be done on any outdoor living cat, not just feral cats.

Hey everyone! So the next podcast is all about some gritty little horses we have out west, the wild mustangs. I'll be talking with Elizabeth Zarkos from Hanaeleh Horse Rescue and Advocacy about the wild mustangs, their origins, what the BLM has to do with them, the roundups they do and where many of the mustangs have ended up, which isn't where you might think. I'll also get more info about Hanaeleh, what they do, and how you can help!
