Things happen outside of our control, sometimes it requires us to take a leave of absence.  How exactly do you call out of work, and from both an employee and a manager's view point, how do you deal with it? Do you explain in detail what is going on? Should you come up with solutions to make up for your absence? Is your workplace toxic?
