One of the things about success is that it can make you prideful. Naaman was a great commander and a man used by God. So, by all accounts, Naaman was a successful person. And the problem sometimes with success is that we don’t like others to tell us what we need to do. Elisha didn’t care if he dipped or not. He could either sip or dip, it was Naaman’s choice and his decision. However, his healing rested in his obedience.

We are warned by scripture that in the last day perilous times shall come. Therefore, if we are to be victorious in the end times and see Jesus, we must maintain a love for Him, for His truth, for His word, and for His Name.

The veil of the temple being torn in two from top to bottom as Christ breathed His last breath was no just happenstance. God designed it to send a very powerful message. It was representative of much more than the obvious exposure of the Holy of Holies for all to see. The death of Jesus on the cross and the subsequent renting of this curtain truly ushered in a new covenant, but more than that, it challenged the very fabric and foundation of the Mosaic Law of Judaism and of Jewish religious tradition. The ripple effect from that one event is still being experienced to this very day.

Self-Discipline is called this because it begins with self. The onus of it falls to each one of us. One of the reasons we don’t have self-discipline is because we are quick to run from the hard, uncomfortable things. We would rather do the easy, comfortable, and familiar things.
