When we received our salvation, we were given the gifts of righteousness, peace and joy. We must maintain our peace that only comes from God. The enemy wants to steal our peace if we will let him. We are to seek peace and pursue it. If we will keep our Mind stayed on the Lord, He will keep us in prefect peace.

Baruch was the scribe that recorded every word the prophet Jeremiah spoke to the people of Israel. He had the privilege of being God’s man for God’s plan in God’s perfecting timing. He had big plans for himself, knowing he was in such a key and prominent place. God had His own outcome that didn’t match Baruch’s. In the end, he was allowed the distinction of honorable-mention and God let him live. We have grand desires and plans for where we believe God can and should use us, but why do our plans never seem to meet with reality? That’s because God’s plan, purpose, will, and ways are always higher than ours and usually beyond our understanding. And His plans are the best.
