The Prophet Zechariah shines light on the future of the church. He sees an angel heading to measure Zion, which is Jerusalem. Even though she looked defeated, he points to her future hope. He said at evening time it shall be light.

Of the ten lepers that asked Jesus for mercy, only one returned to give thanks for his cleansing, and scripture says that he was made completely whole. Paul tells us, “In everything to give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us.” We must always have a heart of gratitude.

There are many reasons for our resurrection. Paul said that God raised us to sit in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. We are also told that it was to destroy the old man that we may walk in newness of life.

The story of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah is a story for our learning of how God will deal with the unrighteous. In his decision making, Lot seemed to make one major mistake that cost him everything. That was the decision of which direction he pitched his tent. We must ensure that our tent is pitched in the right direction, so that we are not cast into hell with Satan and his demons.

Worship is defined as paying homage to a deity. For us, that deity is Jesus Christ. In John 4:19-24, there is a mention of some form of worship ten times. That means that worship is important to God. What about you?
