The church is the body through which the head, which is Jesus Christ, manifests His love, mercy, grace, and compassion. Through the power of the One who initiated the Church, it is our mission and burden to add to the body and to nurture and grow the body. He left this responsibility in the hands of His disciples. That’s us.

In the 80’s, during the Cold war, there were threats of Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles that may be launched from Russia or China against the United States. And so President Reagan had developed a system called the “Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Defense System.” Its purpose was for protection of the homeland. We all need a defense system against sin, and God’s word will do just that.

When we speak of Apostolic Ministry we are speaking of those chosen by God to help in the development of saints of God in the truth and doctrine of Jesus Christ, those chosen to oversee the working of God’s church, and to give direction and guidance to the body of Christ.

Many today seem to be troubled about many things. But we must not allot our Martha troubles to affect and impact our Mary moments with the Lord.

Seeking a place beyond this life in the presence of the Lord for eternity and taking as many with us as possible.

Jesus’ parable of the vine and branches is to draw our attention to the importance of self-reproduction and soul winning. If we are not bearing fruit to indicate a change in our lives, after the vine, then we may soon find ourselves being cut off from the vine.
