Every member of the church is charged with the same assignment that Jesus commissioned His disciples in Matthew 28:19-20, as Jesus commissioned His disciples mission. Unfortunately, many members will produce a long list of reasons as to why we are not willing to go. These reasons can also be classified as hindrances. During the next few lessons, we will examine a few hindrances that prevent people from executing the first part of Jesus’ command, “Go.”

When we come to a saving knowledge and participate in our own Pentecost, we take the old man to the grave and bury him and begin to walk in newness of life, our resurrected self. When this happens, we die to our will, our way, our intellect and ideas so that we can follow what His will is for us. He bought us with a price and we are no longer our own.
