To purge is to cleanse or take away, to prune. Whether we are bearing fruit or not, there is a purging process in His vineyard. The difference is that if we are fruitful, we get purged some. But if not, we are completely taken away and are burned.

Thanatophobia is often referred to as the fear of death. More specifically it can be a fear of death of a fear of the dying process. In January of this year, there was a survey taken about death. And of those surveyed, 11% said they were afraid of dying. Someone said, “Everyone wants to go to heaven, but no one wants to die to get there.”

Peace is freedom from disturbance; tranquility. It is the absence of hostility and violence. In a social sense, peace is commonly used to mean a lack of conflict, such as war, harmony in personal relations. With so many scriptures to direct us about peace, why are so many lives without it?
