Prayer is as old as man, as universal as religion, and as instinctive as breathing. “And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.” (Genesis 4:26) It is practice in some form by all men of all faiths. Prayer springs from a heart with a need, a need greater than man’s ability to encounter. Prayer is man’s acknowledgement of a being higher than himself. It is a rare privilege to pray; because it brings you into close fellowship with God, admitting you need Him and your utter dependence upon Him.

Gradualism is the slow and gradual change that happens over a somewhat slow period of time. The gradual change may be so that others will be accepted, to slowly remove policies or procedures that some do not like, or to increase pricing. Whatever the reason, gradualism brings about a change that we are not aware of until the change is made.

The Mississippi River is the second longest river in North America, flowing 2,350 miles from its source at Lake Itasca through the center of the continental United States to the Gulf of Mexico. The Missouri River, a tributary of the Mississippi River, is about 100 miles longer. Some describe the Mississippi River as being the third longest river system in the world, if the length of Missouri and Ohio Rivers are added to the Mississippi's main stem. But the father you get from the head, the more things are adding into it and polluting it.
