Communion is not a sacrament. It does not make one holy unto God, does not make one better, etc. It does not transform into the actual body of Jesus nor does the juice become His blood. We celebrate it, not as a sacrament, but as a church ordinance, along with baptism, that is meant to be a testimony of what God has done in our lives. We are showing that through the broken body, and the shed blood of Jesus Christ, we have come to the forgiveness of sin. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin.
