1st Corinthians:13:13

So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Looking at this verse, let us consider these questions.  How has our faith in The Lord Jesus Christ been in the past year? What or on Whom does our hope lie on today? How have we shown love in the past year? And finally, how can we show love?

Galatians 4:4-5, Philippians 3:7-11

When we think of the Incarnation of The Lord Jesus, it is the most pivotal event in history. It reveals a thread throughout scripture that defines God's plan for the redemption of man. As we follow this thread from Genesis all the way to the crucifixion of Christ, we see a continuous celestial battle between God and Satan.

Scripture: 1st Samuel 8:1-9:14

We as Christians all believe in God's sovereignty. Yet, there are times when we find it difficult to cope with it or even understand it.And in trying to make sense of the undeniable presence of sin, along with the injustice and suffering it causes, many times we deny this essential truth.   But Scripture offers us considerable insight into how God's Sovereignty harmonizes within the plan of redemption.

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 10:1 – 11

Lack of wisdom is also called as folly or foolishness. But generally when we think about the difference about one who is wise and another who is a fool, we often think the difference is in terms of intelligence. But one's intelligence or the level of education does not determine whether somebody is wise or a fool. There are many intelligent well educated people who are fools and on the other hand, there are people with little to no education at all and yet who are very wise as well. We also tend to believe that people in high places are always wise. And those who occupy lowly places as foolish. According to scriptures the difference between a wise man and a fool is not determined by one's intelligence or one's education  but it is based on one's response to God. That's why the bible boldly proclaims that the fear of Lord is the beginning of knowledge and fools despise wisdom.

Scripture: Luke 12:16-34

At the foot hills of mt. Sinai God had commanded the Israelites to give Him exclusive devotion with no room for a compromise. However Old Testament history is replete with recurrent issues of idolatry in Israel and Judah. This message looks at the reasons why idolatry was attractive, the sinful practices that accompanied it and the relevance of this commandment for today’s church in the light of Colossians 3: 5. It also discusses 3 common idols of today which are money, sex and self.

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 9:11 - 18

Every one of us wants to be successful in life. Be it in our career, in our studies, even in ministry. But how can one guarantee success? Human strategies will not work all the time. And as Christians we cannot abide by every single human theory about success. Solomon constantly mentions throughout Ecclesiastes that the one quality we need to have in this meaningless world is wisdom.  Now, is wisdom a sure guarantee for success? Will we automatically succeed just because we have wisdom? Are there any warning that one needs to heed about wisdom that will help one navigate in a world such as ours?

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13: 1 - 7

In 1945, on the 6th and 9th of August, the world watched in horror as The United States dropped two nuclear bombs over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki taking the lives of more than 2 lakh people. These weapons affected lives. It changed lives. And even years and years later future generations bore the after effects of that weapon. These images is and will be forever in the hearts and the minds of humanity. The world felt that this was a very powerful weapon at that time. Years and years before this, around 4 BC, there was born an obscure man by the name of Jesus. He too had a powerful weapon. The most powerful weapon in fact.  He constantly used it. It also affected lives. It changed them. And years and years later, even future generations bear the after effects of this weapon. This weapon was 'LOVE'. When Jesus demonstrated love,  he was letting his children , even the future generations know that love is the most excellent way of life.

Scripture: Daniel 5

God does not leave willful rejection or a challenge against him unpunished. No man is without excuse. When we willfully stray away from God, His judgment is quick to follow.

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 9:1 – 10

How do we live in a world filled with uncertainties? Are we allowed to enjoy life? How are we, as Christians supposed to live in this world?
