Scripture: Mathew 14:22-33

In our storms of life, there are moments when we feel vulnerable. We are anxious of how our lives will pan out in the uncertainties of the future. God is clear that he has a purpose and plan for us. He even equips us with His power to enable us in our walk of faith. Are we ready to allow him to lead us through the insecurities in our lives?

Scripture: 1st Corinthians: 15:12 - 19

The believers in the Church at Corinth had a struggle with their belief and it had to do with the Resurrection of Christ. Some in the Church even denied the resurrection of Christ. And Paul warns them of the dangers of denying the resurrection. Are there consequences in not believing in the resurrection of Christ?

Scripture: Mathew 25 : 1-13

"You may have been born in the church, being raised in the church, you could have married in the church, dead in the church, until it was veiled in the church and still ended in hell, perhaps because you were only on church and not in Christ." Are you ready to meet our Lord?

Scripture: 1st Peter 4:7-11

The outbreak of the coronovirus has changed the world as we know it. Every person on the planet has been affected by this pandemic. Our Lord Jesus Himself has given us the warning in Matthew 24:33 that when we see all these things, we should know that His coming is near, even at the doors. The end of all things is at hand. And it should certainly thrill our hearts to know that Christ is coming very soon! How should we as Christians ought to be living now, in the light of the imminent coming of our Lord? What kind of lifestyle should we be pursuing, if Christ is coming? Should we continue to live the way we are living right now?

Scripture: Genesis 1:26 – 27

We are living in a world where man often has a crisis with identity and purpose. When we see the chaotic world today and anxious people all around us, it gives us great hope and perspective to understand God’s original plan for the world and man. We will explore some of the truths from the creation account in the Bible - the creation of man, his position in the creation and what it means to be made in the image of God.

Scripture: Revelation 2:1-7

In Revelation 2, Jesus commends the Ephesians for their many good works and hard work. They tested teachers to see whether their professions were real; they endured hardship and persevered without growing weary. But they had lost their warmth and zeal for Christ, and when that happened, they began to “go through the motions” of good works, motivated not by the love of and for Christ, but by the works themselves.Today, many churches, like the church at Ephesus are happy with their doctrine, happy with their large church, money, leadership, missions program, ministries, etc. But God was disappointed with them because they had left first love. Where do we as a church see ourselves in this aspect? Have we become cold in our relationship to God? And do we see ourselves going through the motions, being mechanical? Have we abandoned our first love to God?

Scripture: Jude : 24-25

Our God is Able. How does the bible describe our God to be able? What does it mean that God is able to keep us from stumbling?

Scripture: Acts 4:36

To encourage others is not just a suggestion from the Lord - It's a command. We might think that to encourage is to appreciate someone with a few sweet words and that's where it ends. But there is much more to it, as we see from the life of Barnabas, the Son of Encouragement. Are we intentional in encouraging others? Do we allow the Lord to use our lives to reach out to the lives of people around us and do we think of them in the light of God's Eternal Kingdom?

Scripture: Philippians 3:17-21

We are surrounded by, impacted by, and influenced by the people around us.  Who are we as believers called to emulate? Do we follow or allow to be influenced by the right people in our lives? Do people who watch our actions or those we mentor see Christ and the Gospel? While we live on this earth, our citizenship is in Heaven. Do we stop to remember the we don’t belong here and our future is a glorious one with Christ? And do we think about the glorious prize that awaits us?

Scripture: Zechariah 7

In Zechariah 7 ,the Jewish people had been mourning and fasting. After they had returned from exile, a delegation of the people had come to the priests asking if they should continue to fast and mourn. It had been done for years, leading the people to wonder if it needed to be continued. During the period of captivity to the Babylonians, God questioned whether the people were truly fasting for Him. The people had the wrong motives, they were doing it for themselves as an outward display of religion. The prophets had spoken to this issue years before . After all that the nation had gone through, the people were acting no better than their ancestors who had been taken into captivity. How does this theme reflect in the lives of us as believers?Have our worship to God become Ritualistic and Legalistic in nature?
