Calvary Chapel Elk Grove-The Book of Romans (2023-2026)

86. Romans 8:38-9:5 | Final

Calvary Chapel Elk Grove

Pastor Phil Ballmaier

5-7-25

Tonight Pastor Phil finishes Romans Chapter 8—one of the most comforting chapters in the Bible—in fact it is God’s prescription for troubled hearts.

God's promises are everlasting... The Apostle Paul reminds us in the most precious and definitive words to anyone who might question that—

"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

In Romans Chapters 9-11 Paul addresses the question of Israel's Past, Present and Future...

***

Paul chose Rome for a reason when he went out to preach. Firstly, because God had sent him, but because Rome was a central 'point of the world' as 'all roads lead to Rome'. So if he shared the Gospel there, whomever received it would carry God's Word, and the testimonies of Paul and the work they'd seen done out into the four corners of the world.

Often referred to as the Gospel according to Paul, and the greatest book ever written, Paul's letter to the Romans will become our focus as Pastor Phil continues to lead us through the Word of God.

Calvary Chapel Elk Grove is a non-denominational fellowship located in Roselle, a northwest suburb of Chicago in Illinois.

84. Romans 8:29-30 (Part 5) | Final

Calvary Chapel Elk Grove

Pastor Phil Ballmaier

4-23-25

Tonight Pastor Phil finishes this section of Romans Chapter 8—one of the most comforting chapters in the Bible—in fact it is God’s prescription for troubled hearts.

Tonight Pastor Phil touches on The Process of Salvation and the Permanence of Salvation. Answering God's call for our lives. Sanctification and the work of The Holy Spirit happens over a believer's lifetime. It is a journey...

The Apostle Paul spent most of his life and ministry dispelling the lies of the Judaizers who continually tried to cause the Jews and Gentiles to replace the law of grace and security of salvation with works. "We know we're saved by grace—but... here's what you have to do to keep it."
