This week David will learn of his son's death in the battle and he will be torn by what has taken place. Joab will rebuke David for not showing concern and honor for those who fought for him and then we'll see David begin his return to being the king of Israel.

Today we'll see the Lord require the demons to be quiet about who He was and then the Lord will call 12 men to Himself and give them the task of being with Him, preaching and demonstrating the power of God's Kingdom. We'll then see the religious leaders falsely say that Jesus was doing all the things He was by the power of Satan and the Lord will say to them that someone only has power as long as someone stronger does not come along...and Jesus of course is our "strong man" who sets us free from the power of Satan.

Today as we continue on in our study of 2 Samuel we will see that Absalom will meet his end. The Lord will be against this young man as he attempts to take the kingdom from his father and as this unfolds we'll see that the spies that David left behind will be used to turn the counsel of Ahithophel into nothing. At the end of the day it will be Absalom's pride that will get the better of him.

This week we will again see Jesus in 3 separate narratives and today we will really focus on His ministry to those who were considered religious. Jesus as He ministered to the Pharisees loved them while at the same time standing up to them...We should be reminded that love as the world defines it and as God demonstrates it are quite different. Real love stands on the truth and Jesus will do just that in our study today.

This week we will watch as Absalom who has a quiet bitterness deep in his heart over what happened with his sister Tamar plunges into rebellion. He will actually come against his own father attempting to take the kingship from him.

Tonight we will watch as Jesus in 3 separate narratives ministers to those that are in need of His touch and each time they will be given the opportunity to leave as changed individuals. These three will be a leper, a paralytic and a tax collector.

This week we will see that the words that Nathan the prophet spoke to David began to come to pass as the sword begins to devour this family. We'll also see David become a father who refuses to discipline his children and Absalom David's third born son will come into the picture.

Tonight we will see Jesus call four fishermen to "Follow Him", He will teach in a synagogue on the Sabbath, deliver a demon possessed man, heal Peter's mother in law, heal the multitudes who come after the Sabbath ends, spend time with the Father in prayer and then declare that He must continue on to preach the gospel elsewhere.

This week we will see that though David had failed so greatly in his life that God was not willing to leave Him in that place of failure. The Lord will send Nathan the prophet to confront David and we will see that David will come to a place in his life that he confesses his sin and gets right with God. As He does so we will see that God will forgive and restore this man after God's heart.

This week we will have an introduction to the book of Mark and then we'll get in to the first 15 verses of chapter 1. In these verses we will be talking about the prophetic words that pointed to a messenger whose name was John the Baptist and then Jesus "Our Hero" will come on to the scene. He will be baptized in water and then head out to the wilderness to face temptation.
