In Vs 23 of Ch 24, Isaiah focuses our attention upon a prophetic picture. A time in which the Lord will rule the earth victoriously/gloriously from Mt Zion, in Jerusalem. Ch 25 is the response of praise that overflows from his heart as the result of this coming reality. The day in which the earth undergoes renovation/restoration & God's will is done on earth, even as it is in Heaven.

-Life - liberty aren't privileges extended to us by our government. They're rights graciously granted to us by God. - - It's important that we not be confused on this issue. For 10 straight chapters, as God declares judgment upon nation after nation, if one thing comes into focus for us, it's the fact that, He's the One we're to look to - trust in exclusively if -as a nation- we want to experience security, prosperity - liberty.

We're in this section of scripture that's dealing with the judgment of the nations. But by way of reminder, Isaiah isn't a book that's kept in any consistent kind of chronological order. We shouldn't think chronologically with these writings. Probably more accurate to think thematically. Let's not forget, his ministry spanned the reign of 4 different kings…

As Isaiah prophesies in our present passage, war clouds are gathering in the north. The Assyrian army is mobilizing, they're preparing to move out in an effort to conquer the known world- But what they don't realize is that God is using them as His instrument of judgment upon the nations-
